Subclasses

Hello Wolves, so ive been think about subclasses since I cant play right now. So I know there is a lot of talk about the new subclasses. Id like to add my 2 cents and maybe hear from the rest of the clan. Titan solar subclass- flaming riot shield. The mechanics are already in the game for a 180° frontal sheild. It would be cool to have a titan press forward to break the enemy line while absorbing a large amount of fire from alien scumbags. As far as being able to damage others a simple fire melee would work. I think if you made it a "draining usage" ability like that of arc blade from the hunter tree (a slow drain and a fast chunk drain when using it). Some of the augmentation abilities could be; Damage absorbed by the "flaming riot sheild" can spawn orbs; enemies burn when struck by the riot sheild; enemies burn longer; enemies "ignited" by "solar sheild" explode if they die while under the effect; the simple melee strike adds a short to medium length lunge (similar to arc blade or shoulder charge ability); simple melee attack becomes a single target ray attack, like a burst from abhigh powered laser (very heavy drain on charge, maximum of maybe two charges before super energy runs out); solar sheild can be "detonated" causing solar damage to large area around the titan and "ignites" enemies caught in the blast; if damage brings down the riot sheild the titan gains an energy sheild for a short time (2 seconds or so like the revive sheild). Lots of different ways to balance this sub-class Warlock arc class- so if this seems like a blatant rip off of senator palpatines force lightning...... it is :).... I mean come on we basically ride on the speeders of endor. (Dont get me wrong ... freakin love it) The warlock already has AoE coming out the tail pipes. So, I would suggest more of a single target ability (also a slow drain ability like the arc blade) that can be augmented to a narrow cone type AoE. You could activate the ability then hold down the trigger to shock the crap out of the baddies, (in third person) possibly slowing your movement while shocking them. Some of the augmentations could be; Single target becomes a narrow cone allowing it to effect a tight group; chaining effect, instead of a cone the arc energy chains to near by enemies; enemies shocked by the arc lightning become slowed for a short time after (1 or two seconds); "shocked" effect lasts longer slowing enemies further; enemies caught in the arc energy are suppressed (cant use abilities); the warlock is able to move at normal speed while using the arc lightning (holding the trigger and in third person); activating the arc lightning ability when near death expends all the ennergy and uses the super energy to do a burst aoe centered on the warlock that "shocks" nearby enemies and knocks close enemies back (more defence than offense); activating the arc lightning abilty then using it on a downed ally revives the ally as if you were standing next to them; reviving an ally with the arc lightning gives them and over sheild for a few moments. Hunter void sub-class So ill preface this by saying hunter is my least favorite and least thought about class. But I know there are some zealous hunter players out there. So, when you say "hunter" I think... well hunter... master of the wilds... a single minded killer, able to depatch thier target with extreme prejudice. The sneaky approach is already taken (arc blade?), as is single target high damage route. So how about this... Hunter void sub-class ability being slightly simular to radiance inly instead of strengthening the gernade and melee abilities by reducing thier cooldowns why not make the hunter void ability based on thier currently equiped weapon. Void infused weapon super ability will be an ability that increases weapon damage by increasing stability, reload speed, and decreasing ammo consumption (weapon shoots void particles instead of bullets, causing void damge) for a short time and add different augmentations and or status effects. I understand this subclass might be difficult to balance... but have faith. Different augmentations could be: Increased duration of effect; bottomless clip; increased firerate; perfect stability; enemies killed by this effect (maybe just gernade) implode leaving a very small "void" like a blackhole or singularity (pulls nearby enemies to void and has a small DoT effect); hunter movement speed increase; Well what do you think?
