Spinmetal and other resources
Ok im having alot of trouble with this.. ive managed to pick up alot of resources such as spinmetal and wire and things like that.. however after hours of playing .. i cant find a single use for them.. im aware you used to be able to bring them to a vendor and trade them for vangaurd marks.. but now bungie went and reverses this where you can only trade marks for material....
Whats the point.. if you csn use the materials i need to know where you gi and how to use them. Can anyone help ?

Trust me you'll be begging for more materials after you get a nice selection of weapons and armour that need it just store it.

8 RepliesMaterials are needed for upgrading legendary and exotic weapons and armor. The new exchange system is a good thing so u can do less farming and more bounties, strikes, raids or public events. That cache of materials u think you have a lot of will run out quickly (relic iron and helium especially). Just fully lvling up an exotic with relic iron will reduce ur stock of 200 to 80

So all this crap I have accumulated in farming is completely useless. Just when I was considering changing my name to Old McDonald, for all the freaking farming I do. I think I have so much spinmetal spread across 2 slots that the compass needle points to me when I enter the room. Aww..well. Hope I have lots of upgrades.

2 RepliesThey are only used for upgrading armour and weapons now so farming these materials is almost obsolete as you can now buy them from the vendors you sold them to before.
