Seriously though....a full team of 31's (minus one lvl 30) with more than enough firepower to kill crota. I was getting 4 sword slams per run and sometimes 2 runs per sword. However, most of the time doing this section is spent sitting at the top of the damn map saying "okay where's the swordbearer.....not here yet? Okay...still not here...oh look more -blam!-ing thrall...any day now." And then the ogres want to chill in their back rooms looking all cozy and shit playing ring around the rosey with themselves when I'm just trying to pop off at them. Like what the hell, Bungie? You only get 4 or 5 runs till the enrage timer and you guys take it all away making us wait for the shit to even spawn. We did beat him (after replacing all the 30's with 31's) but I still have yet to beat him before the "enrage is near" is up and having everyone go into a panic. I'd rather deal with shitty teleports than you not giving us enough time to complete. I mean the other raid was full of bugs. There was time for error correction though. I've never seen an enrage timer on Atheon. This raid: If you run into a bug it's a wipe because ain't nobody got time fo' dat. Literally speaking.

Crota is a time constraint fight, and enrage shows up in 9-10 minutes. You have to kill the swordbearers/ogres as fast as you can, and it's sometimes difficult when they spawn 1-2 minutes later. Being in a race against time and having to wait? That's nonsense. If there was no time limit, I wouldn't care.

-
I heard if the Chalice holder goes down it spawns a round of Ogres as well
-
Me and my group believe that killing all the enemies chilling around the middle has sped up the timers for Swordbearer and Ogres. Ever since we started doing this the Swordbearer would be out almost immediatly and the ogres took at the longest thirty seconds to spawn
-
So if your a level 30 you can't beat him

Edited by Rabid: 12/15/2014 4:02:27 PMU have to send a guy to lure them out and they come running right at u one shot on each is good enough. Everything is on a timer and in sequence thats why u have to get your attacks right if u had all day and everything just came to u the fight would be even easier then it already is. Just do everything right stop complaining. Wait till hard mode is out vog was the same way easy is to dam easy then hard was wtf hard for a while then got easy as everyone got used to it this will be the same come jan everyones gonna be thinking its impossable

Edited by Blam031312: 12/15/2014 4:01:17 PMDude...it's an eight minute fight. Chill. Even if you wipe 7 times, you've still only taken up an hour of your time
-
Jesus u beat it easily yet still complain why?!?

Your team is not coordinating efficiently with regards to time management. you should be able to get two rounds of sword attacks in at 3 to 4 Slams per round. That's 4 rounds of sword attacks before the Ogres come into play. My team of 4 31s and 2 30s dropped Crota with three swordbearers well before enrage. It also significantly depends on weapons used. 3 gajallahorn shots will take down the shield. Our two icebreaker snipers also supplemented damage between Knights. With good timing and the right weapons, Crota will go down really fast.

Melee sword bearer after grabbing chalice He'll rush you like nothing else
-
I typically get 5-7 hits per sword and always get 2 runs on each sword! I can typically take him down in 3 swords. It's all about your timing.
-
You have to get 2 downs to Croata each time or he'll get enraged at 9:30secs from the exact start timed, we got him in 3.5 times, we used a 31 warlock with chalice and blessing of light to smash Crota RB RB RB possibly a big smash and using his super when he could. 5 mins 18seconds to beat it
