3 RepliesThis is awesome news. I went through all three articles posted and look forward to the dlc even more now. Many changes that I wasn't expecting at all. Awesome. Here's a quick overview. - story missions closely resemble exotic bounties now with multiple steps. - normal raid available at release, hard raid end January. - story missions include more mechanics like not being able to jump but having to navigate while fighting on the ground to avoid dangers on the floor. - raid gear won't use legendary mats but their own mats dropped from raid. You can also swap them for the other ie shards for energy and the other way around. - the story missions branch off leading up to the new strike and one up to the new raid! They're not just thrown in but you need to progress into the content. - exotics upgrade through xur. You trade in an old exotic, an exotic shard and something else to receive the higher stat improved exotic. Old exotics traded can be fresh or leveled up already. There's more that's just what I'm excited about.

I like it all except the fact I just used some shards already to upgrade some exotics cause the buff!!!! If I had known I should have just not upgraded anything for a week I wouldn't have felt like I spent a lot of time and fortune upgrading a rented house that I don't even get to keep. #fail#bungie#stillloveyou#kinda

im looking forward to the dlc, with a week to go until dlc launch bungie themselves should be providing this sort of info. exactly whats the upgrade number to exotics for example? exotic upgrades seem to cost a bit as most peoples exotics are fully upgrade (time and mats or even shard if they upgraded recently) to then have to pay for another shard just to swap for an basic version which will then require another shard to max upgrade. just my opinion but rest looks good, cant wait.

Bumper-doo. Glad i saw this, so thanks to OP and whoever else has posted this today. Was getting ready to drop some serious coin on exotic shards come Cryday (or Xurday...or whatever), which would have been a huge waste to buy and burn. I'll at least pick up a few but not the 9 I was planning on. Now to see if Thupdate includes any of this and expands on it...
