I was a huge fan of KOTOR 1, 2 had its problems but it was still a pretty great game. Never got around to getting The Old Republic, and I was wondering if anyone here has played it and could tell me how it compare and if I should get it?

I wish they made a newer one with better graphics/ gameplay. It was a good idea.
-
It's cOld in here man...
-
I recommend just playing through the character story missions. Side quests and the general mmo stuff is good but not great.
-
It's a good game. If you liked Kotor you'll like it. It's very similar to the games, with full player choices, just in a mmo setting.

Garbage

It's alright.
-
Its ok. Not very special.
-
Not all that
-
It's alright. Just don't expect it to be KotOR 3

Edited by Lawkon: 11/25/2014 3:03:33 AMI got bored with it very quickly. I hated having to follow the storyline to level up, I wanted to run around and be able to kill stuff for decent exp. I also found the storyline to be rather boring, and the combat lacking. But, as others have said, try it out. That was just my experience with the game.

"Advanced Warfare is just like Star Wars with all those sweet lasers, you should go try it!" Heheh...
-
It's free, so you can just try it yourself. Better than random peoples opinions

Well first off it's free!!! But there are things they make you pay for once your higher lvl. And you gotta pay for a lot of the pvp stuff. Not that I was much into it anyway. I played a lot last winter on a really crappy laptop but it ran really really well which was good. So try it out. There's a lot to do and a lot of places to go without paying for stuff. I got bored with it eventually cuz I wasn't a fan of it's typical "mmo style of combat". Meaning hit or miss and damage is based on percentage. Not skill lvl or aiming or skill. When you can jump so high over an enemy and they still hit you with a melee attack? It becomes to much mindless clicking and staring at my health bar. But then again I'm a console gamer lol. Hope this helped out some.
