Overview of Factions. Who do you follow?
Im interested to see an overview of factions and see member numbers etc. Is that possible on here?
I think the factions in the tower are one of the components of the story that is overlooked and has great potential.
I side with Dead Orbit. Who do you follow? And why?

Dead orbit just for shaders. All of their weapons kinda suck.

Dead Orbit however I don't entirely agree with their "Take to the stars and leave the city to die" mentality.We need to take to the stars after Earth has been retaken.

10 RepliesI ranked everything (all 3 factions, vanguard, crucible) to rank 3 so I can buy from everyone. Now I'm working on getting NM to higher rank because they have weapons I want...namely the Vanquisher VIII.

3 RepliesI went with DO. 1-I first looked at armor because I wanted something to help me get higher level and help with hand cannons. Dead orbit seemed to have the most stuff for HC. I also use the melee and grenades often. Also I prefer the look of DO the most. Also, I recently learned about faction shaders which DO's sound awesome! 2-I also compared weapons, I knew I'd get TDYK from vanguard, but wanted somewhere with buyable options for scout, shotgun, potentially auto rifle, and machine guns. So far I have the scout and shotgun but don't want the auto or MG (I have swarm from vanguard). New monarchy have very good weapon options from what I hear. The ideals of the group didn't really sway me. But if I went with any it would be FWC for belief system. Then dead orbit. Then new monarchy. They're like the 3 responses to an adrenaline dump. Fight (FWC), flight(DO), or freeze(NM). Right now I have these ranks: Vanguard 3 Crucible 2.5 Dead Orbit 4 FWC 3 New Monarchy 0 Iron banner/queens bounty 0

5 RepliesDead Orbit? Dead Orbit are fools to believe that they can outrun the Darkness, Cabal, Fallen, Hive and Vex. While FWC has admirable efforts, they are lost without a strong leader. War gains nothing but death and sorrow without leadership. New Monarchy, puts the problems of the city first and does so with unflinching courage and resolve. We need a strong leader, we need a Monarch!

2 RepliesTBH, I go with the Vanguard. Their weapons are better, their armor is about the same as all of the other factions and you can buy alot more from the Vanguard. I dont see the point in a faction unless its for the emblems (i am FWC rank 3 btw)

4 RepliesI'm with the New Monarchy, a decision primarily influenced by their beliefs; I'ma technical pacifist, so the FWC didn't appeal to me at all, and Dead Orbit I didn't particularly like that much either. New Monarchy stuck with me because, yes, they are hopelessly naive and I don't agree with their choice of government, but they're the only ones who are willing to deal with their problems and trust The Traveller WITHOUT risking their culture like the Blood Knights that are the FWC. Also, I feel that the armour of the NM (which frankly I'm not sure if I'm even gonna touch) provide bonuses to Intelligence and Strength, which is useful for both Voidwalker and Sunsinger. *okrantoveryoucanallgohomenow*

The FWC has the most legitimacy. Dead Orbit would have us run into the deep black, scattered and broken. The New Monarchy would see that we ignore our problems and focus on re-living the glory days. The FWC's doctrine is simple; We know the darkness shall return. It has been seen. We have seen other timelines, and in every one the city had fallen or the darkness had won. They were unprepared for war. We will not be. [spoiler]Plus INT + DIS are the two stats I feel are most important to focus on for PvE, which is what I play 95% of the time.[/spoiler]

I'm Level 9 in FWC. I bought and equipped the bond as soon as I hit 20. I was level 0 in Vanguard for the longest time lol. Given how many epic gifts you get and how better they get as you rank in a faction, I don't see much point in leveling all the different pvp related ones unless you are collecting emblems.
