More PS exclusives in upcoming DLC?
Pulled this article from Reddit. Can anyone confirm/deny the additional exclusives in DLC?
I'm fine with timed exclusive gear/weapons. What I'm not okay with is exclusive strikes/crucible maps. That is content in the game that one party is receiving, and another party is not, [b]for the same price[/b].
And I get it, this garbage happened with CoD to PS owners, but even those timed exclusives were only for a month. These are until [b]Fall 2015[/b]! I'm not saying it sucks because I have an XBOne. I'm saying it's a terrible business practice and the gaming industry needs to learn that, no matter which group of console owners is getting burned.
Thoughts?
EDIT: People are saying the raid isn't exclusive, just another strike. That makes more sense, however it doesn't change the principle of the matter: The same price for less content only hurts gamers.

there is no exclusive or timed exclusive with the dlc, only launch.

This exclusive raid is obviously fake, since there seems to be so much content associated with it. If it isn't fake, then, why would an xbox user even but the dlc

I'm guessing they'll be getting a permanent Exotic dealer that restocks every 24 hours and a daily gift of 20 Strange Coins and Motes of Light. Probably a mansion made of puppies and twelve chocolate-covered lapdancers too. I'm not bitter.

I have both systems and think they're both great but I do agree that a year is a long time for timed exclusives. If anything it should just be a month maybe possibly 3 but that will be pushing it. I am not a fan of timed exclusives as believe that if a game is multiplatform all content should be available to all platforms at the same time. The only big reason I can think of for the long time exclusive is because of money as they're probably making more from the sells on PS than they are on Xbox as Sony probably offered to take a smaller cut of the proceeds as they'll make it back with more consoles being sold which did happen as there are still a large market out there of those who haven't upgraded to next gen yet and a lot of people like to have all the content right away so they will have a more incentive to want to purchase the PS4 if Destiny is one of the games they really wanted to play.

As long as the raid and all the raid gear isn't exclusive to ps I'll be fine, but I don't understand why anything should be exclusive at all. Xbox players spend the same amount of money on the dlc so why the hell should ps players get more for the same price?

5 RepliesWhaaaa!!! Deal with it, they don't have to be fair to both console groups ever no matter if the game is sold on both consoles or not. Sony paid for it this time around so their choice if they want it only for Sony and not for XBL.

Its part of the gaming world now, it sucked when an entire game never hit your console from halo up to titanfall. But timed exclusives arent as bad. At least youll get them. I never played the last of us until i got a ps4 (xbox360 transfer, never looking back) and they remade it.

5 RepliesI dont mind paying for DLC, I don't even mind having exclusives for PS, but I do feel we shouldn't be charged the same for less content. We do however need to remember that we don't even know if it is true that there will be exclisove content in the PS DLC, nor do we know for a fact that we will be charged the same (though the existence of expansion passes kinda leans toward everyone being charged the same amount).

Doubt any missions or raids will be exclusive. I'm hoping there is more to each dlc because I want everything that's leaked and I don't want any of that to be exclusive.
