I plan to post every time I get a bee error Updated with possible solution!

I plan to make a post every time I get a bee error. It's a little sad and unprofessional that there has been no real update to this issue in quite some time, beyond trying to figure out how to track it. I play on Xbox One. Open NAT. I have tried all troubleshooting steps including port forwarding. I have set QoS for the Xbox to highest priority. I use a Cisco E3000 router and a newly purchased Netgear DSL modem. The modem is set in bridging/modem only mode. I have ATT DSL. Upon checking my connection with the Xbox I have Download speed 4.78 Mbps, Upload 0.42 Mbps, 0% packet loss, Mtu 1480, and latency 115 ms. I am using a wired connection to the router. Update: I may have found a fix. I noticed yesterday reading the posts that someone mentioned the unforgiving nature of Bungie's system in regard to upload connection. I also noticed that in all my matches, I could continue to see what others were doing up until being kicked, making it less likely to be a download problem. I checked my router's settings, and in the QoS area in showed that it managed upload bandwidth for all the devices. I assumed that it would allow the Xbox to take as much bandwidth as I needed because I gvave it high priority. However, I did not see an improvement until I changed the setting to manual and set a higher value for the upload speeds. Because the errors occurred in the tower and in PvP matches with at least 12 players, I assume that the amount of information uploaded while playing those is much higher than in other game areas. Perhaps if we could get an idea of how much upload bandwidth is taken for the game during those matches, it would help.

  • I've just finished 3 control matches in a row. I made the following change prior to this. My router manages upload speeds. It was set on Auto, and I assumed that giving the Xbox One priority would take care of making sure it got enough bandwidth. I believe my router was saving upload bandwidth for the many other devices connected at the moment. Especially given so many apps on smartphones are constantly sending data to somewhere. I hope this continues.

  • Alright, tried replacing the filter on my phone line for DSL to see if that was the problem. First match, about 2-3 minutes into Iron Banner Control, Bee error and kicked to orbit.

      Looking over at your other post, I see a very common thing that I experienced the other night. You should make a log and detail when you get kicked or dropped. I did and posted it in detail where the issues happen and what error came up. I usually see them at various points in the game. On average it's mostly at the end of the match for me. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/72163138 I have my network setup just as you would expect and use the same provider as you. Do you run into errors in patrols, strikes or story modes? I noticed I tend to only get errors with the crucible and tower on occasion. The rest of the game works fine with no issues.

        I'm not sure if this is related but I took a break and just tried to get into a Crucible match, and I've been in matchmaking 1/12 for about 12 minutes. Edit: after I entered this I got kicked to Orbit with a Mongoose error. 2nd edit: The only change I've made in the meantime was to change the setting in Voice from speakers to default.

      • nothing but hawk error codes this morning, but this afternoon (took a break), got only a few caterpillar errors. i have also tested my internet speed, its about 20mb download speed. so i know it's not on my end. i have xbox 360.

      • I can't even play clash, control or iron banner as at some stage I get error code bee. Bizarrely not on rumble or skirmish though. This proves it's the game and not my connection. My broadband is 10mb download and my nat is open too. I can't be bothered to go into anything else to try fix it as I know it won't work. This is up to bungie to fix but have they?no......nothing. So I'm left missing out on the crucible events I enjoy. Please fix this bungie as its your error. Not ours!

      • It's been a week since the last update we got. You can see all the updates on Bee on the help page (http://www.bungie.net/7_Error-Code-BEE--FLY--LION/en/Help/Article/11791). After the latest hot fix the errors have gotten a lot more frequent. Now I'm not able to play crucible anymore, which was the only game mode I could play without getting booted. Daily mission is impossible either and not to mention the strikes. Sad that they go a step forth just to take three back...

        • Finished one match, then kicked by Zebra in the next. Back to title screen. DId not drop from Xbox Live.

        • By the way, each of these errors kicks me only to the orbit. I do not disconnect completely not do I lose connection to Xbox Live, etc.

        • Bee - about 1/4 through Iron Banner Control match. I have finished 2 matches in about 13 attempts today. Obviously this is an issue. An update on progress addressing it would be nice. I must PvP to finish up these Exotic bounties. I have 3 taking up slots currently, and would like to be able to do other bounties.

        • Bee - 3/4 through Iron Banner Control match. I noticed that although the game didn't lag, it didn't respond to my controller for a few seconds and I saw someone else get dropped just before me. Perhaps it has to do with outgoing information not being received?
