Can I please build my own armor from the ground up? Let me choose the basic design to buy for X amount of mats, based on level. Then let me CHOOSE which abilities I want it to have, and pay for them appropriately with glimmer and mats. Each upgrade can have a preset graphical change to make to the armor. I know which sets I like the looks of (Note that it isn't the Knight set, which is the only viable baseline set at 20). We're up to our gills in programmable matter but we can't customize our own gear? Make it rep dependent...Give Banshee-99 a rep meter or something, or an armorer friend to pal around with that we can build armor through. God knows that poor weaponsmith is lonely as hell once we hit level 20. Let us spend vanguard marks or crucible marks on something that truly sets us up to play the game the way we want to play it. If you want to get players engaged and make them care about the gear they wear, let them build it themselves and look the way they want it to look. If you want to make it into a time sink that requires an additional investment of effort, make the individual abilities schematic based, so we have to go hunt them down before we can build them.
