Destiny, The Division

I like Destiny. I play it religiously. But even so, I think it's lacking content. I think I'm going to get bored sometime in the not-extremely-distant future. I also think it's a bit... small for what I think the game's trying to be. World size-wise. It's been a few weeks and I've already pretty much memorized all the areas in all the different locations. I have very high hopes for The Division... which might not be the best thing. I'm expecting something incredibly massive. Something where it'll take at least over a month to just see all of the areas it has to offer. If it's like Destiny and doesn't live up to it, I don't know if I'll be able to believe that console "open world online multiplayer" games can be seriously large. I'm pretty sure The Division is actually being referred to as an MMO, though -- unlike Destiny, which thinks it has the power to create a new genre called "Shared World Shooter". (because they knew they couldn't have the word "massive" in the name of the genre, probably.) Ubisoft has created some pretty big open worlds with the Assassin's Creed games, so that's another reason for me to keep my hopes alive. (Although for me The Division will have to definitely be bigger than AC games.) My experiences with Ubisoft games in the past few years have been all right. I myself don't have a big reason not to trust them. They have my faith, for now. I hadn't really played any Ghost Recon games before Future Soldier, but I liked FS. I don't know the opinions of GR vets, but I myself liked it, and I guess that's all the matters. The gunplay in The Division (to me) seems a lot like GRFS's, which I guess isn't a bad thing. Another Ubisoft game I've gotten recently was Splinter Cell Blacklist. Isn't the dream Splinter Cell game I could have wished for, but it's certainly an enormous improvement over the previous Splinter Cell game, which strayed too far from SC's roots. So, what are you hoping for and expecting from The Division, and what do you think about Destiny's longevity?
