Hawkmoon is a much better exotic HC imo.

I have the Universal Remote and it's pretty awful too. Starting to think exotics are just novelty.

High damage, controlled fire rate. That is and exotic weapon. Not Thorn[/quote] Suros Regime is nice. Still gets beaten by my Hard Light though. Thorn reload is slow. Which is why a speed reload armor piece(s?) work with it so well. The exotic specials specifically the poison is what makes it deadly. Just like Hard Light true power comes out when Volatile Light is unlocked. Level it up. Then after unlocking the special use it. Because I have read contrary about Thorn and its deadly venom.

I have a rare hand canon the Regulator MK.56 and out performs both the Thorn and the Devil you know hand canons both extremely hard to get weapons and are both complete pieces of shit why bungie why

It's fair to say it's hard to use effectively. But thorn can dominate in the right situation, the over penetrate and damage over time can be so strong when used at the right time. Granted before you get "mark of the devourer" it is suck town. But afterwards it can be amazing. It just not designed to be a Dps machine. 2 body shots and the dot is a kill in pvp.

Learn to play... I can go 3.0 or higher KD in pvp just using thorn. It's a beast in the right hands... Witch yours clearly are not.

Quit bitching about your exotic gun. Some people have been so screwed by the RNG we do not even have an exotic weapon. Just be glad you have it!

Guys the exotic weapons aren't amazing off the damn bat. Level it all the way up and that's where it becomes much better than any of the other guns. If it's default stats were Already much better than the others guns plus it leveled amazingly well the exotics would be way too OP.

Well.. I just looked at the weapon and it's seems pretty good.. Last round does bonus damage, piercing rounds and a super low recoil setting. I think it's pretty good, you really want to shoot 10 times then have extra damage? I would rather have 5 shots then the damage. I haven't used it so I don't truly know.. But it seems alright..

I have now the Thorn upgraded to "Mark of Devourer" and I think I found some ways to improve it: * Add 2 rounds to the mag (it doesn't sounds like much, but should balance it out) * Lower the reload to something a bit around 1,25 second * Make the bullets either stack the DoT or at least refresh it. I find it more than stupid, that the DoT doesn't gets a refresh after a 2nd shot. Sunsinger grenades can do it with the passive, so why not this gun? So far it is way below the Last Word and Hawkmoon and I think that all exotic weapons should at least be somewhat equal. So far its only use is to get the "Post Mortem"-PvP-Bounty a lot easier.
