It's just disrespectfull, Bungie.

There are a lot of people complaining about serious issues with the game. There are people who are still not able to play anything because they get disconnected immediately, there are people who get disconnected after a few minutes while playing spezific game modes while everything else works fine and there are other people that get a lot of random error codes every time they play the game. .. and there is no tech support? Not one official comment about all those matters? The only official thing I could find in this forum was something like "Try figure it out for yourself. If you do please let us know how you did it so other people can figure it out on their own as well"? Really, Bungie?! You know when it was the last time I've seen such a disrespectfull, nonexisting and just annoying "support" then yours right now? It was with 3.000-bugs Gothic 3. Users even had to create their own patches and updates because the games developers just didn't do anything about it. Instead they posted all their coding on the internet, hoping for some paying customers to do their work for them.. for free. In my opinion you stay on the same level then those Gothic 3 guys. There is no support, no help and not even a word about this whole mess and yeah.. I'm starting to get annoyed by this bullshit. And just so you know: I've already contacted Amazon Germany, explaned the matter and you know what..? I'll get my money back. Why? Because I bought a non functional game with no tech support and with developers that did not give me any information about if they are going to fix it (bee) or not. But I guess it's somehow funny. When I first read you guys are not working on Halo anymore I was shocked. I was thinking "oh no.. those guys from 343 Industries surely screw things up!". But you know what? I have changed my mind. It's a good thing that Halo is not in your hands any longer because you guys are just a bunch of disrespectful and ignorant people who love doing that bait&switch thing in their advertisements over and over again. My copy of Destiny goes right back to my retailer and I hope a lot of other people who experience this centipede-, lion-, beaver- and beemargeddon are sooner or later doing the same with their copy. Oh, and I am by the way not angry because the game is not working. I am angry because of the lack of communication between Bungie and all those people in this forum who are looking for help. That's a NoGo, Bungie. If everyone out their has the same problems with Destiny while every other game and onlineservice works fine, then it's not a problem with everyones connection. It's a problem with the games stupid network code.Tell your fans that you are working on this damn issue instead of asking them to look for their own solutions. There are people out there who bought new routers just to play Destiny.. without any result. Why? Because you don't talk to your customers. People are wasting time and money because they own Destiny without be able to play it. That's on you, Bungie. Your lack of communication is causing these situations, and it's causing people like me - who once considered themselfs as Bungie-Fans - to get mad at you. I hope sooner or later you will get what you deserve for this mess. You know.. some funny, neverending shitstorm for exsample. Something like the one that hit Bioware when ME3 came out. This shitstorm is still going on. It's not as extreme as it was a few years ago.. but people did not forget that Bioware betrayed them once in a huge way with their false advertisements. All those guys like me, who get nothing else then error codes, wont forget either. So.. yeah.. it's your decision. You can fix this whole mess and asure everyone out there that you do so.. or you keep doing what you do right now. Last thing makes you look like.. well.. I'm not good at english. I can't finish this sentence without any insults.. so I wont finish it. I think you still get the message. Edit: Just because there are a lot of trolls and fanboys out there who think it's my end of the line that's to blame for all those issues I have with the game.. - NAT is open - all recommended ports are forwarded - UPnP is enabled - DMZ is enabled - routers firewall is disabled - switched from WiFi to cable - tried another (better and newer) router - made some connection checks (packet loss: 0 %) - reinstalled the game - made a hard reset on both of my routers - disconnected every other online device - contacted my ISP to look into these things Come on. Tell me where exactly it's my connection that's not set up correctly guys. If you can't, then stop insulting me, alright? I've not just spend ours to work on my network settup and settings.. I've also spend a shitload of money, hoping new hardware and my extremely overpriced ISP service hotline could fix this whole mess. I have a right to be annoyed. I've invested more then just time in this game to make it work, and still Bungie points it's stupid fingers in my direction or the direction of my ISP.

  • But they are communicating. If you stay online you will get in game messages before connection issues. Today all my friends and I were getting dc to centipede error. Two of us were online for a while and we got the message we will get dc issues cause of server maintenance. I know it doesn't seem like it but they are working on it. Just have patience.

    • For those of you demanding patience , the only thing we want is communication. The game is not so large as to demand weeks to correct simple networking errors. But thats not even what we want. We simply want some customer service email address or phone number to contact. If you kept having these errors occur every time you play you would want some answers as well. Be on our side as a fellow gamer instead of attempting to silence us or blame us.

      • I switched from a BT router to some shitty Netgear one I got free with Sky years ago and that seemed to solve the problem. I had the same issues and had tried everything with the BT router but nothing worked. Switched it last night as I was fed up disconnecting all the time and I managed to play 3-4 games in the crucible without getting booted out. Just to add I was only getting booted from the crucible..

My own findings on a common networking connection issue I have seen and helped many fix: Many people use a combo modem/router device and then connect another router to that modem/router conbo without disabling all residential gateway functionality. If using a standalone router (which you should, they work infinitely better), you must have it connected to either a standalone modem or a combo router/modem that is acting as a modem only with all gateway functionality turned off. The ideal network setup has no combo device but a standalone modem with a standalone router. Especially since most of the combo devices provided by your ISP are absolutely garbage. There are very few out there that are worth using. Cheers

            • I partially agree with this. I had to DMZ my router from the shitty vendor modem/router combo, then DMZ my XB1 from my router, AND open all the required ports for XBL. Have not had many disconnects after these steps. Portforward.com people....do some research and do it yourself.

Bungie is doing their best to fix the problems... not only that, some of them are the fact that some hacker groups will keep hacking microsoft/ American servers. So dude, you need to calm down and stop shitting on Bungie because of your personal issues and lack of patience. Also, it is because of people like you that they say stuff like "find your own fix". People like you overreact and Bungie won't deal with people like you if you just jump to cussing and getting pissed. Maybe you should try out customer service. Also, error codes can be in any game. How about you go and make a game perfect, right now. Tell me if there are any errors at all. Make a game like destiny, put work into it. We'll see if any errors are there. It's not easy to make a perfect game and then have it run perfectly. If it doesn't run perfectly, it's not exactly easy to fix the problem. They need to see where it originated, duplicate the problem, and then fix what is going on. This can take days if not weeks. You act like Bungie should have everything perfect within the few weeks that Destiny has been out? You haven't even given them time to fix the problems. The reason they may not be answering either is because you and others come and talk to them like jack asses. You want to be a jack ass, so will they.

                • Unfortunately I cannot return it since I bought a digital copy :/ I like the game but all of its flaws are glaring and it really makes it a $15 experience at best

                  • I've posted a few times in another thread, but since there's no real forum here, it's hard to get experiences/information centralized. So forgive me for copy/pasting mysefl. ***** You folks really need to get this sorted out. I was playing with my friends last night and ate 25 or so bee errors throughout the entire night. I would get booted, sometimes followed by a vulture error. Funny, xbox acted like I was still logged into the game after a bee booting. Regardless, I would reconnect, play a couple seconds just to get booted again. I've ate several today. Nothing like being right at the end of two strike missions only to get booted right at the end of the boss fights. I love that. I love getting the error right as soon as the Tower loads. But hey, I inexplicably was able to finish from the start a crucible match! That's new! If this is really caused by packet loss, you folks need to figure out to buffer it better. I would rather have 5 seconds of lag or re-synching than a straight out boot. I can play fine before the error with no lag. And no lag after the error (and reconnection), at least, until the next error. I play many other xbox one online games with ZERO dropping. On the same freaking connection. Why is it unique to this game? It's either on your end or your netcode's ability to tolerate dropped packets. This is what bothers me. Why is it unique to this game? Why do my other online games run with out constant drops? I've got several consoles and a PC with games. I might eat lag or something sometimes, but I've never experienced constant drops. Again Ports are open Nat is open Wired Static IP DMZ Residential connection Baisc DSL, but my bandwidth monitors do not indicate that this game is using up the available space Nothing else on the network. I still get almost always bees. Sometimes followed by vulture. Mix in some lions and flys too. One oddity is the stupid Destiny protocols automatically opening up certain ports -- UDP 1200 and TCP 6851. These always show up in my protocols when I start Destiny. I already have these ports manually opened, but unless UPNP is disabled, Destiny always opens them again.

                  • I really don't understand why people feel the need to complain so much about different games! Did any of u complainers try playing GTA 5 when it first came out? This is an MMORPG style game and should not be expected to be perfect from the beginning. Hell even the new XBOX ONE has its own issues that they have to work out! Stop bitching at game makers and give them time to sort everything out! They r not magicians or magic workers! Bungie has come out with a great game and they deserve the time necessary to fix it! Stop crying and either play the game or go play another one! Those of us that like Destiny would rather play without people like u anyways!

Some of you need to get it through your heads that Bungie knows about these problems and are working on them. Forums are not for customer/developer communication. They aren't going yo reply to anyone on here. The game just came out so give it some time instead of acting like whiny children that want desert before diner. Bungie has made it extremely clear that they are working on connection issues and they just had to deal with DDOS attackers today. What do you people want? An hourly update!? Well here's one for you Bungie is currently working to fix the technical issues some are having with the game. Come back and read that as often as you see fit until Bungie releases another statement regarding the matter.

                        • Bungie doesn't care about its community. They only case about statistics like the money they're making and how many play their game. Instead of fixing server disconnects they're having players teach other players how to fix the problem so they don't have to and then they're recording and displaying total hours logged by players. They don't care what's wrong with their game or about US that's the bottom line.
