• If people think the other classes take no skill they are being idiots. However, the golden gun does take significantly more work to execute. >You can be killed during the animation with no potential super follow through. >You must execute all three shots without being killed. >You must direct and aim 3 shots in order to get the kills. The other supers are difficult to execute. But they only require one aim and shot, and if you get killed the super can still proceed. The Hunter super is high risk high reward. All classes are good and have situational uses for their supers. The Hunter is harder to execute but that does not mean the other classes take no skill. It does not matter how easy it is to get kills with the hitboxes with the golden gun. It is even easier to get kills with the nova bomb and fists.

    • Outside perhaps 'cool' factor is there any difference between the classes? They all seem the same and take the same amount of damage.....

    •
For one the hit box for the golden gun is huge, and even with guardians jumping around everywhere in PVP I was able land all shots easily in pretty much any situation with no problem. So unless you really really struggle aiming then you can't say golden gun takes "Skill"
Congrats, you can hit a target attempting to avoid or kill you. That requires skill. And the fact that you turn around halfway through your post and say, "I believe all classes are equal blah blah blah," trying to be some unbiased saint makes you sound even more foolish.
Oh all classes are equal it depends on your play style, therefore, if you play as a hunter you like being a noob and getting no-skill kills.
^the sum total of your argument

    • If any class requires the least amount of skill it is the Titan.

Hunter is the only class that focuses on long range and headshot precision damage skill, which are the traditional run and gun associated tactic skills, think about the idea that BR effectiveness would determine just how "skilled" you were at halo. The hunter has a similar stigma associated with it. It literally has a perk tree focused on making your gun more accurate and upping reload speed when you get precision damage. The other classes certainly take skill, it's just not precision focused. Warlock is really AOE damage to control enemy movement and Titan is short range chase people down quick reaction time skill. You have to understand that a lot of 11 year olds associate skill only with guns, in fps games, they have absolutely no understanding of strategic roles or effective ranges. The other portion of this stigma comes from the idea that if you can't hit precision kills, the hunter won't reward you the same way a Titan or warlock would for just getting raw kills. The long range is hard to mess up at, but it's also very easy to waste time. To be honest I don't think the idea is that hunters are skilled, I assume that the good ones, the same with warlocks and titans; will need to be good at their class strengths, a skilled hunter is going to need to understand the roles of their team while being deadly at range and smart about taking on the other two classes that can obliterate them at mid-short range.

        • You know what takes skill? Shooting hawkeye, 40/40 on 300 meter range with an M16A1. This "skill" in video games is non sense, my little ego needs to feel unique and special bull crap. Its a video game. I notice all the gamers I have ever run into calling others "noobs" and all that, aren't winning money at this.

          • I love that you kids take the time to write up these silly, useless posts. It takes more skill to aim the golden gun and get three kills in the alloted time limit, than dropping a Nova bomb on a group and install killing them... Regardless, it's a waste of the to whine about this crap. The game is shipping to retailers, get over it.

              • This is precisely why I do not care about PvP. It always becomes a k/d measuring contest with CoD kids. I do NOT want destiny PvP to become the next COD. We want to focus on team tactics and winning and having fun. I also fully support bungies decision to not have open chat in pvp. To be honest I wouldn't mind if there were no PvP at all if it is going to be filled with 13 year old twats screaming on their mic a few swear words that they mimic ruining the game for everyone. Even in PvP every class will be useful. It all depends on your play style.

                • true. I'm pretty good at aiming on consoles and I put more nova bombs into the corner of a wall because I was drifting to the left or right mid-air while using it than I missed golden gun shots with my hunter :/ If you activate the golden gun before you go arround a corner (to see enemies on a capture point for example) you'll win the firefight (with the first person atleast) but some people were complaining that they cant get kills with it and I actually saw that in- game a few times: people walk arround, they see an enemy and first thing they do: activate golden gun......of course they get shot while "casting" it / going through the animation. Classes are already pretty damn balanced in PvP. for PvE golden gun could be a bit stronger I think but my main will be a warlock so it will not affect me anyway in the first few weeks

                  • K so then explain how i activate golden gun I get killed golden gun is no more... I activate nova bomb I get killed whats that? I can still nova bomb after being killed? Hmmm also yes you get three shot but sometimes in the midst of battle it's hard to pull shots off, all you have to do is press two buttons for the other supers.

The golden gun takes no more skill than any other super...it takes more cleverness to be used most effectivley...but so do the other supers...panic ground pounding to get a kill is by all means an easy was to get a kill...but so is spraying two + golden bullets in someones direction... Plus the hitbox for the hunter golden gun and their throwing knives is relativley laughable...not so much in regards to them not being fair as they are special skills and should be treated as such...but that people think they take any more skill then other classes is a joke... 00:16 secs- where the blade seems to literally curve at the last moment into the player... 01:51 secs- where the knife is literally displayed hovering above the players shoulder blade cleary indicating an enormous hit-box 01:53 secs- where the knife again seems to leave its initial straight pat at the last moment to curve into the players thigh Watch the video and tell me there hitbox's take skill to master All classes take skill...anyone who thinks otherwise, or that supers for that matter determine skill...prolly aren't doing well enough themselves to have esteem enough not to try and down-play other classes...

                      • I don't like golden gun because it couldn't kill some enemies with all three shots. Titans super could kill pretty much everything in one go. No idea about warlock.

                        • Anyone that thinks that a super is what determines skill amongst the classes should have no regard over there statements to begin with...I got 18-23 + kills on average in PvP with my titan class, as well as my hunter and warlock...and I assure you less than three of those per game were on account of a super...

                        • A lot of people's aim might be worse than you think. To any capable FPS player, all 3 classes have their +s and -s and seem balanced. To someone who can't aim to save their life, the Hunter seems to take more skill. The blade dancer seems like it could be the best wave clearer in PvE while the gunslinger is probably the weakest PvE subclass. We'll just have to see.

                          • Both hunter and Titan take skill. Hunter needs to be accurate. It's an fps game you should already be accurate. Titan may be the easiest to get kills with but it can be difficult to find 3 people next to each other sometimes. Put it this way if you use a shotgun, you need to be near you enemies. Same thing with fist of havok. Not always easy to get close without being killed.

Why is word choice getting your disagreement boners going. Call it discipline, accuracy, focus, its still a skill. I'm a titan and i can say "fist of havoc takes skill" because timing or else you miss and look stupid, and there will be a huge debate about it, but it can still be MY opinion. I mean do you really think you're going to actually change someone's opinion about this abstract idea of skill?
no, shit dont change. Stop stressing the unimportant
