Hey, I've been wondering about this for awhile. But the 500M everyone's talking about. Is that what Bungie spent already, or is that their budget for the 10 year projection?

Its for the 10 year period and includes development and marketing. Don't have the link to source at hand but shouldn't be hard to find.

No I think the money is what's been spent already AND is also setting up the foundation for a new IP. The Activision contract states they'll make four games (if that's still accurate). They've said the cost per game of the series will be equivalent to what a normal AAA game would cost. I'm speculating here, but I think the games will cost more than average to make. The way they'll make their money back is through dlc's which I think will sell well. Just my opinion though so take it for what you will

Its for the 10 year projection. And based on how much the hype for this game is, that budget is gonna just inflate
