I watched a playthrough of it and I gotta say...I wasn't really impressed.
Jumps scares aren't really scary; they're startling. If this teaser is a sign of things to come, then it's not gonna be a good Silent Hill game.

That's the thing, jump scares were like weapons. The worst part was wondering when you were gonna get shot. The suspense. I also felt like I had to figure out how to get to the next section, so I would try this thing then try this thing and I would slowly turn around to see if it worked. Sometimes this took so long the suspense died, but then when I figured it out I was off my guard, and then the jump scare works and puts me on edge again.

"This teaser does not represent the main title" How about beating it and reading the end.. Lol

Edited by Smarkdow: 8/17/2014 6:07:28 PMThe very fact that jump scares were the focus of the teaser means it is representative of the final product. So while the teaser itself likely has nothing to with Silent Hills, it is telling people what to expect from the game. And if jump scares are what I can expect from Silent Hills, then it's not gonna be a good Silent Hill game.

Jump scares aren't the focus. If you have the means to play it, I would recommend doing so. The atmosphere is way more tense than any other horror game I've ever played. More so than OutLast. More than Amnesia. PT is on a whole nother level.
