I can't speak for Xbone......but fully digital games on PS4 perform better than their disc-based counterparts. Loading screens....boot ups....texture fill....all of it is faster.
And you aren't paying $20 more. You are paying $10 less. And if you point is that they don't have to pay for shipping, printing, packaging, etc.....then you need to get over that because it isn't changing any time soon. The cost savings is hardly noticeable in the broad scheme of things for the publishers...

I think things might start to change with the launch of EA access if where competition chooses to compete. $40 a year (here in aus) to play EA games with out buying them. This kind of stir up of the market is what we need just like what Netflix did with digital movies and tv
