I know it's beta and a lot more of the tower will be opened up but when ever I'm in the tower, it seems too quiet and lonely. Being the home of the guardians I would of imagined there being more life around. Not necessarily anything more to do but more hussle and bussle going on or ambient noise (conversations of NPC's to listen too etc). It's the social hub for everything going on and it seems to be lifeless. I want more immersion if you know what I mean.

I wanted a similar feeling of walking into a town in Skyrim for the first time. NPCs hustling about, having convos, asking you things etc.
-
There were over 30 ppl in my tower last night. The server system is based on your locality if I'm not mistaken. Not everyone is on 1 server. I couldn't find the article where Lars was talking about the Mesh System. Unlike previous games that Bungie made. The server is supposed to connect you with ppl from your region. This has been awhile ago that I read this. Please don't take it as FACT :-)

Get a fire team...talk with them...be the change you wish to see in the world of Destiny
-
I thought when they said "The Last City" I thought we would roam around and the Tower would be one place in the last city
-
This doesn't even have to be part of the multiplayer aspect of the game (open guardian chat). Louder NPC conversation/more will all impart more immersion. On a side note secrets and easter eggs in the Tower is a must! :D
-
The npcs do talk. In fact, some things that they say foreshadow future consent.
-
We have 4 emotes.....how can we have "barrens" chat with just that?
-
well, in 30 minutes I'll show up for a little bit before I go back off onto explore mode.
-
Do you think a large number of people stick to the PvP and never leave the Crucible? The Tower does appear to be dead.
-
It better be because only a few people are in the beta, at least on xbox one.

Edited by The Pope 138: 7/25/2014 2:20:56 PMA dance club with bars and an area to sit and play poker for glimmer would be cool. A soccer/football field could be fun too.

Edited by DEZARATH: 7/25/2014 2:21:34 PMIt's deader than a door nail when you're in there by yourself and even then it's a silent disconnect with real people when players are abound. I really don't understand why Bungie didn't try its hand out in RPG elements by placing in more active NPCs and quest givers. It's okay to branch out Bungie!!! You're getting a lot of Skyrim, Borderland, Mass Effect and Witcher players coming into your game besides halo fans.
-
It would be better if we could talk to guardians outside of our fire team in there.
-
I have to agree with you, even though i'm not sure how much of this can be accounted to the whole beta thing.
-
there will be more of that in the underground i assume so we'll find out.
