I just played with the Bungie App today

And I have to say what an outstanding app. Its so smooth and has everything you need on the road to keep up to date with any news and forum activity. Its pretty sweet. I was using my friends phone to check it out as I am a Windows Phone user. Im sure many of us would like to see this on the Windows App store sometime.

  • You can stick a tile of the web app to the webpage for now and it will work exactly like the app. When the stores combine, apps won't need to be made specifically for the wp, but just for the windows store. Right now wp store and windows store uses different file types, so its a bitch for them to create a bunch of the same app with different programming when its going to be merged anyways. Wp 8.1 has already switched the types of files it uses to match the windows store. They just haven't combined them yet. Probably won't until official release. When they say they have no plans to make a wp app, its because the wp app store will be changing and they have no idea when the normal windows store will be available on wp, so they can't implement one yet. It would be nice to have one for windows 8.1 though so we can download it as soon as the two do merge. (stores)

      • Thankfully I have an iPad that can run the Bungie app, but I would like it and use it much more if it were released on the Windows app store.

      • Just wait until they upgrade that 'Bungie' app to the 'Destiny' app so you can actively see your characters stats, equipment, items in storage, specializations, and see what's going on in the world and with your friends. You'll hate not having it for windows phone that much more.
