The Beta has Trophies!

At 45 seconds in, you'll see a PS4 trophy pop up called "Ask Questions Later". I'm assuming it's for getting the First Strike in a match.
I rarely see Betas with their own trophy sets, so this is interesting. More incentive to get players on the servers?

2 RepliesThis is fine and all, but now the Beta length kinda bugs me when it didn't before. 4 days is a huge head start in trophies when I only get four days total to earn achievements. That kinda sucks. Maybe it is just demonstrating maps in a full build or it is a fluke thing. I hope that they aren't in the public Beta or they don't carry over.

That was already in the main Achievement/Trophy list. I'm sure the Beta won't have it's own set.

Let's not forget this is bungies first [b]real[/b] step into Sonys servers. Everything about this beta/alpha is to test all their new toys and make sure it's going to work for us PSN people. This isn't really for us the gamers as much as it is for them to learn what needs to be fixed or tweaked so that when the buggy release happens(and it will be) it will go as smooth as possible. Them giving us an emblem is pretty swell imo

I would say that the trophies wont carry over on the platform. They are sinply part of the beta build pre launch.

Maybe they implent it in the beta to see if all works fine with PSN!?! And we will see if it will Count for the full game. Or the beta have there own trophie list like indie games, who now's?

8 RepliesI just confirmed with IGN that there will be achievements and trophies, but they may not count. They don't even fully know what that means, but it could either mean that they will be shown and literally not count or that they just won't count in the full game.

1 ReplyThat's cool. It wouldn't be the first game to have the achievements carry over into the retail game. I really hope that's the case! There are two worst case scenarios though. The first being it's PS exclusive and they get their own unique destiny trophies. That would be very sad. The second being that these are unique to the Beta and stay on your profile, but since the Xbox gets the Beta so late they might not have time to get them all which would also be sad. I hope they just carry over.

16 RepliesI switched from Xbox to PlayStation this gen, and I have to say I don't feel the same urge to earn trophies that I did to earn achievements. Having a points total that every achievement adds to was smart on Microsoft's part. Of course, if it really mattered that much to me, I wouldn't have switched.

Definitely not playing for the trophies... maybe later in the final i'll hunt some down but meh. Nice little detail tho. I doubt they'll leave those in for the "public" beta tho.

1 ReplyThat's awesome, he also gets another throphy when he Novabombs some guys, it had something to do with like a triple kill or something similar.

If there are trophies I hope it's just a head start for the whole game because I would hate to sit there see I had something like 95% of the trophies for the beta but just didn't have a chance to get that final one or two. Then I would never have the chance to get them. It's part of why I hate online trophies because for games like Mag or Gotham City Impostors I can't earn anything I'm missing with the servers down.
