So when's this gonna be a thing? It's cool to know 6 people liked a post, but it'd be cooler to see who did it besides the most recent person.

The yays have it.

Actually, I was going to post a topic saying that it shows up on the phone app but not on the PC. I thought that was weird. If you have the app, it'll give you a name for each (I know it's at least one name) like or reply to a post or topic.

I'm pretty sure the purpose of liking is less for you to know who liked your posts, and more to participate in pushing the post up in the threads when you filter by popularity.

I want it to be done the same way as Facebook does it. You'll have a little +X (X=number of likes) right below your post and if you click on the number of likes, you'll see who liked it individually.

Edited by DTL: 3/11/2014 4:36:13 PMI agree. Likes have become a convenient way to agree with someone's post without cluttering up the threads with "+1" or "This!". But in a lot of ways, it detracts from the post. When someone makes an argument, visually seeing other people's support of the subject lends validity to it in some respect. A post with several replies in support of it strengthens the point being made. But now that someone can easily hit the like button, this support fades a great deal. Sure, the user is notified. And sure, the post gets bumped up a bit. But I don't feel it works as well as intended. Personally, I'd like to see something similar to reddit where likes and dislikes are displayed for each post. As well as the individual notifications you suggested.

I support this idea. The fact that I get so few likes makes the ones I get that much more precious. I too would like to know who has similar, excellent taste like me.

Agreed. This needs to happen.
