One of my self-declared notorious times to be brutally honest it seems.
-Do you lust after?
Recognition. Far more than I like to admit I'd like to be notarized for my achievements. Just because I won't be noticed for doing something good doesn't mean I wont do it by all means... but being well known on a good head is something I often hope for.
-How are you slothful?
Procrastination. I'm trying so hard to change this. I have a fantastic work ethic once I get into it. If I find the work necessary or part of my given tasks/job I will give 100% in everything until I collapse. However, what I perceive to be frivolous work like folding that last pile of clothes can lead me straight back into procrastination.
-How are you greedy?
Surprisingly NOT money. I'm so lenient with money I'm trying to get a little more greedy. I don't want to sound full of myself but I'm trying real hard to come up with something that sticks out enough to warrant this spot on the list. I mean I know there's something. There has to be something. Nothing is coming to mind though. (I apologize, this still sounds full of myself.) EDIT: I was typing my way through the wrath portion of my post when this idea occurred to me but I'll leave the previous words here untouched anyway. Power. Do you ever want to be a superhero? Not in the sense that you can fly or shoot lasers from the palms of your hands but in the sense that one day you can knowingly see that someone else cared for you enough to see you as such. A child? A wife? A brother? A stranger even? I wish one day to have enough power in the world to be able to -and this is an example- to look at other powerful men in the face in situations like wars. Wars pushed to start over territorial disputes and idealogical disagreements; situations that will cause thousands of young men to die for the arguments of just a couple dozen rich men; and for me to have enough power to look them in the face and say "No," and they will listen. If it's a sin to have that kind of power then it's a sin I accept.
-Makes you gluttonous?
Junk food. Exactly as it sounds. When I was younger it didn't pain me too much to walk through a store with more money than I should have ever carried in (and at minimum wage been carrying at all) and just go, "Oh that looks good!" *Throws it in cart*. I buy on an empty stomach even when my stomach is full per se.
-Fills you with envy?
Money. Even though I hand it away so foolishly it still earns my spot for envy. I often daydream of all the ways I'd go about changing the lives of those I deem deserve it... if only I had the money. Ya know? Find a homeless man who, despite his situation, still holds enough love to give more than he gets... and suddenly he receives exactly what he needs to get back on his feet and a job. Is it wrong of me to dream of such things? It's with this thought in mind that I look at truly not greedy people like the supposed "Saint of Baylovo" who has nothing but gives it all anyway. I look at him and sometimes can't help but feel ashamed that my lowest level of greed is still far more than I may need at all. Suddenly my envy seems so much more sinful.
-Ignites your wrath?
Disregard for human emotion, freedoms, rights, troubles, situation, and pain. Want a sure fire way to get me to want to hurt someone in ways that will give me extreme PTSD? Put me in a situation where I can affect the outcome of a kidnapping, a cartel torture, a murder, an act of terrorism, or an act of greed that gets someone killed. Nothing pisses me off more.
-Gives you pride?
Self achievement. I dream of who I want to be in both body in mind. I dream of my ideal body type and I dream of exactly who I want to be as a person to react to different situations and words; to different thoughts and ideas. Here I will pride myself on reaching these goals I set out for myself. Not shamed to admit it. --
I feel like in saying this I will find I'm the only one who did not know that copying a section of a post to your clipboard before you hit the quote button will then enable you to quote just the copied section of text upon hitting the quote button. E.g.- Copying "-Fills you with envy?" will quote only that text when you hit quote. Nifty.
