Avengers vs Combine(Seven hour war)
Ok so imagine the Avengers(Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and Hulk) are a part of the Half Life universe. The Combine have just opened their invasion and the Avengers arrive on the scene of the largest concentration of the Combine's forces to try and halt the invasion.
We know that even though the Avengers, despite their power, wouldn't be able to hold out forever. How long would the Avengers survive against the Combine forces?

I'm no expert on Half Life canon (shit, I don't think Valve even has any experts on Half Life canon) but it's my understanding that the invasion force in the Seven Hours War was of the "real" Combine, whose abilities far exceeded those seen in HL2. The HL2 force is basically a weaksauce occupying entity intentionally designed to not be as powerful as the empire's hordes. I do not know where I heard that. Given that, I think if the Avengers charge at the choke point of Combine entry to try to stop them, they survive for about 15 minutes. Maybe less. Thor could give them a run, and the Hulk's no pushover, but they just haven't got the defense for whatever it is the Combine is bringing. If it's Avengers vs. HL2 Combine, though, they could probably wreck most of the Combine for a long time.
