So let me start off with a strong statement: "Putting on a mask corrupts the individual putting it up and fools everyone in to believing a lie." I was talking to a close friend about being happy and how to do it. She told me that she's NEVER happy. I was quite baffled by this, the person who I thought was the happiest, is one of the most unhappy person I know. She told me that after awhile of putting up a mask, you start to believe it, and so do others. What are the consequences of this fake happiness? I view it as termites to wood. After years of studying people I came to the conclusion that damn near 100% of everyone who pretend to be happy, breakdown. Some in worse ways than others. Some fall into depression, drugs, drinking, etc. We have all hurt inside, wounds were caused that took awhile to heal. Some of us still hurt. But please, don't live a lie. Try to actually be happy, find happiness in something, anything. But there's a simple mistake that people make when told this. They find TEMPORARY happiness. Such as the things already listed. And in reality, it makes things much much worse. I could drone on, but most of you lack the capacity to continue reading my ramble. Post thoughts and experiences on the matter.
