There is something wrong
Ok, I have never made a thread before but bear with me. This has been something that has been bothering me since bnext. But the past few weeks its gotten worse and nothing is being done about it.
Recently Recon was banned (yes I know he even asked for it). He was banned for something quite frankly incredibly stupid. But alright he gets banned, understandable if enough people feel its justified. But then we have threads posted almost nightly by camnator that are exactly the same thing Recon did, even though Recon's thread wasnt even about that.
Hell we even get worse threads appearing. Threads that do nothing but denounce a certain group of people, or threads that are blatantly made in an attempt to get a nevative reaction out of people. And yet we still have people claiming that the current way this site runs is good, is perfectly fine in fact.
Its not fine, we have certain posters running amok. They are allowed to post threads that either flame certain groups of people or shitpost and get nothing productive done at all. But when we have a mod post something that quite frankly was not even that bad, woah no stop right there you get a ban. The way this site currently is does not work, and can not work. We need too go back to a semblance of what the old site was like in terms of rules.

2 RepliesWelcome to the Off topic forums, where anything goes (pretty much). It it really bothers you, ignore/mute the obvious troll threads and move along. I'm sure if you wanted an interesting, good discussion material thread, you'd be looking somewhere else (other part of Bungie forums or otherwise). I haven't seen many in a while, with the rare exception every week or so. I don't mean to put you down, but that's just how it is in the new way of things.

I heard his photos showed nipples? I agree his ban was stupid, but I have never posted any type of nudity, and posting pictures of people is absolutely not against the rules.

I think with Recon's case it was more of a self inflicted ban. I think he felt that he should have upheld the rules at a higher standard because he's a Ninja and not some random poster. I agree some things do run amok on the forums and it's not always right for them to get away with it (every now and then it's okay). But Recon should be held in a higher standard since he's an enforcer of the rules - kind of like a cop. If he did inflict some form of personal ban on himself, I gotta say I respect the guy because he knows he did something wrong and he's willing to take the fall for it without any kicking or screaming.

Since so many on this forum seem to be brainwashed, I'm going to explain to you how things really work. Thus, a careful balance must be achieved until we can develop the necessary technology (in secret) necessary to defeat the Mayan 9th fleet. Now you understand, if you will open your eyes.
