Even though this is an MMO there should still be privatized matches and a map creator, along with matchmaking that still keeps that MMO alive.

I'm hoping for a forge style game mode made possible by.the traveller with this its power to the players and they get to enjoy bungies artwork forever
-
I really hope they add in the private custom matchmaking. I feel this is important when a group of 6-12 friends want to play against each other without having to go into public matchmaking. The map creator is something that kept multiplayer fresh in Halo. If you want to try a new twist on an old map, just change some stuff around.

Creative tools for the Community are a fundamental part of Bungie's DNA. Marathon had Phorte, Myth had Fear & Loathing, Halo had Forge, so I think it's inevitable that the Destiny community gets a turn. The big question is when. I'm hoping for Destiny launch; but I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait until the Comet 1 DLC.

Destiny does have Competitive multiplayer and I'm assuming we'll be able to do private matches. As for forge: I am not sure. I think it would be could if we could own our own plot of land in The Last City and have something similar to forge.
-
I'm not going to give you alot of backlash for this seeing that everyone else probably has but Destiny is not an mmo but a "shared world shooter" (mmo). Im sure bungie will think of a way to incorporate custom games into this game along with forge
-
ITS NOT A -blam!-ING MMO
-
I'm hoping it isn't they have enough more important things to focus on
-
I'm so hoping there will be a Forge mode it's eating my brain inside.
-
At this point in time, if they didn't mention any of these things such as private matches or map creators, they probably don't have time to make them.
-
I would actually be suprised to see a large scale map editor. Bungie doesn't seem to be going for that kind of game, like they were with Halo. Halo is about creation and Destiny is about exploration. I do think that it would be very cool though, but it might lower the sales of Halo 5 a tad.
-
Well with activities like raids and strikes, questing, dailies, PvP, and other end game content I don't see a need for forge and mini custom games to keep players occupied. I think we will be busy enough.
-
How dare you say mmo
-
It's not Halo, so no.
-
there is no main menu so i guessing it could maybe be possible but only at the city under the traveler...you would have to do something like go in a room and when you do it sends you to a matchmaking or forge mode
-
Why wouldnt see why not, it would be nice to explore other guardians ideas of what earth(etc.) in ruins. i think itd be fun!
-
Hell yeah
-
competitive multiplayer maps... definitely wouldn't be a surprise. it would be great... creating their legacy. Imagine the progress Bungie has made already. The realm of forge will be crazy-awesome in Destiny
-
I'm fully expecting a forge type of mode. Maybe our personal ships should be customizable in a forge-style editor as a player home. Then on top of that, each ship will come with a "combat simulator," which is a big empty space with a normal forge pallet that can be used for custom matches and making maps/forge art.

Edited by Tartan 118: 7/18/2013 2:57:00 PMThere'll be competitive multiplayer, presumably including custom games. How far that extends to a map editor, I couldn't say, although given how big a hit it's been since H3, it wouldn't surprise me to see on there.
