New CEO getting bungies ass in gear?
Game has slowly been going down the tubes for months, then two good announcements this week. New pve updates and content coming; gift to make up for the super broken RNG in crimson doubles.
Coincidence? I think not.
I think Pete Parsons is making the destiny crew actually listen to fans, and respond. Good move for once.

4 RepliesI think it's fair to say all of the things we've been told about were already in the works well before the leadership change. That said, you better believe Mr. Parsons is doing all he can to fix the ballast and right the ship. When even fan sites start criticizing a game developer at the level we are seeing, there are fundamental issues to fix.

I think Bungie has been on cruise control ever since release. They already stated they were working on King's Fall before heroic Vault of Glass was released. Everything we've seen so far was advertised in the E3 preview - Dreadnaught, Mercury, Old Chicago, damn near everything. As soon as they announced the "live team" was the time they went to fully to work on Destiny 2. That they've been stringing us along without anything new means they're probably reworking the Old Chicago / Rasputin storyline. I'd guess they're re-recording our guardian's voices with more Activision flunkies as opposed to creating anything new. That's the pessimist in me. I really hope I am wrong and they're actually make something new.

Nothing was said to give us any clues as what to expect. Nothing on if they are going to try to implement any of our requests, or if it was going to be more of the same ol' BS that we have been getting. Well, this is what we were told by Bungie: [quote]Beyond that, the team is focused on delivering a large expansion later this year, and a full Destiny sequel in 2017.[/quote] On the same day, an hour before Bungie put up their announcement, Activision had this to say: [quote]Activision Publishing, along with its partners at Bungie, expects to bring a large new expansion to Destiny in 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017.[/quote] Hmm, seems pretty similar, and also, Activision announced it before Bungie. So do you really think that it was Pete Parsons that did this, or do think that it was Activision that forced Bungie into making an almost exact duplicate announcement?

Yes it seems that way. although a little late for most. But it can also be a bait and switch type ordeal. because they know alot are pissed, and Destiny 2 is gonna be coming up... BUT benefit of a doubt for this new CEO.. for now. I hope its gonna be differnt, and be good. that it stays to the point of them listening, and fixing things. So I do give the new CEO props, regardless.

Yes complete coincidence Old ceo had stepped down back in November So no announcements except for those on the books New ceo comes in mid December reviews effort and signs a contract january to deliver that effort in 2016

2 RepliesI think there is potential. What happens from now to the end of the year will determine if destiny goes down as an epic success or a failure that we don't talk about much. If they continue the trend of making everything obsolete and do not integrate the old content and gear with insufficient vault space then it will be a big waste of time.

I didn't play the last iron banner because the gun meta was jacked up and rift. After reading how bad it was I'm glad I skipped. I have t played the Crimson days even once. I'm just waiting for a decent update to make it worth playing again. I'm not going to grind out the raid over and over. This raid had the worst RNG and I'm over it. So when they fix stuff like Crimson it is just ehh. That's nice that they are finally fixing stuff. But I just want something fun worth playing again

6 RepliesThe ghost gift wasn't because of rng, otherwise they would have just said anyone who logged in would get one. It's a lure to manipulate people into making a shit event into a statistical success they can report to us next week. The 7 match thing pretty much guarantees your character logs an hour of playtime in doubles.
