So, I got an email from bungie...
I received an email asking if I'm having fun..
This was my reply, I really hope they are genuinely asking and will act on the feedback:
"I had resigned myself to the fact you don't care about the pve game anymore, sending me this email gives me one last hope. I truly hope you read my response. I love(d) the game.
I only really play pve, I find Pvp frustrating and laggy.
I love the way the game plays, how fluid the controls are, but..
You had it right in year one.
I now find the game quite boring because all the weapons have been adjusted to be ordinary. An exotic used to genuinely feel exotic, now it doesn't, I have better legendaries than most exotics. To add to this frustration, you have a growing trend of ridiculously health strong adds, which before, with the right exotic, wouldn't have been a problem. Now there is no choice but to empty clip after clip of ammo into them. You may think you are extending play time but you've actually just watered it down.
Couple these issues to the irrelevant rewards for most activities and I have little desire to play.
What would bring me round?
1) exotics should feel exotic, choosing which one to equip should be a big decision as you are forfeiting one great perk for another.
2) greater number of adds, with less health.
3) elemental primaries, simlar point to exotics. The best part of an old nightfall was choosing your load out for the relevant burn modifier, bearing in mind there would be other elemental shields too.
4) stop forcing me to play Pvp to complete quests for weapons.
In my opinion there will never be a balance that works for both Pvp and pve.
In pve, the grind is(was) driven to unlock an amazing weapon or armour item. These weapons aren't compatible with the requirement for "fairness" in Pvp. You need to remove exotics from Pvp or introduce a class of item that is pve only, then we can have fun again.
Thank you for reading, I desperately hope the game finds its way again but, I'm convinced Pvp is your main concern and the pve game is neglected as such. Please prove me wrong."

I agree with having less focus on pvp, but everything else you stated I disagree with. I like where the exotics are at now, I don't want elemental primaries, and the amount of enemies and the health they have is just fine.

I have completely stopped playing Destiny because the absolute neglect to the PVE and their only focus being on PVP. I bought and played this game with the promise of an amazing PVE experience and one where my friends and I were struggling to save the galaxy. Destiny I believe is no longer concerned with PVE and will simply be focusing on PVP as they have already proved to us. With the next installment of Destiny 2, I will NOT be preordering it and more than likely not buying it. I wanted a game that was going to be PVE focused and had more of an RPG element as was originally promised.

This has a better chance of being read than the response from some asshat that was posted on the forums as a "burn". Constructive criticism is way more tactful than being a jackhole, and thinking it's funny. The only funny thing about it is that Bungie won't read it.

It would be cool if they had a Firefight/Generator Defense mode on expanded Crucible maps. Twilight Gap would be really cool for this.

8 RepliesSo since your a noob who can't ever fathom having skill at something you shit on and completely ignore the one thing that will get this game way more users then some crappy pve that only last a good month. They need to over haul the pvp in the game and add custom games so we can gb and actually have real fun for once. Hopefully they don't sell out for the noobs like most do but so far they look to be doing so unfortunately. I still have hopes since Bungie has stated that for Destiny 2 they will focus more on pvp.

OMG...!!! What you said are exactly what in my mind for long time....!!!! That's what I feel..!! This PVP balancing is destroying all the PVE fun. PVP should be separate. Have their own guns armors and super.

You have to thank those fanboys who pre-order the game and even got the season pass without first playing the game. Also the youtubers that keep lying to the destiny community.

I want an email so I can give them a piece of my mind as well. But I agree with OP. PvE is hurting for the sake of PvP. Nerfs mostly. Bullet sponges aren't adding value due to increased time. I understand the reason for taking away elemental legendaries but why for -blam!-s sake couldn't every exotic primary gain an elemental damages or a combination of two similar to murmur. I'd use many of the exotics that currently just sit in my vault. Currently exotic primaries are the last exotic I think of equipping(currently don't have supercell) Also just in general PvE is lacking. Just the few things off the top of my head.

I agree, I played so much in year 1 to work for Gally and it was so worth it and excited when I finally got it. Now I got almost all the exotics within 1 week of their release and none of them are unique and fun to play except maybe Zhalo.
