Crimson doubles... well thanks bungie for this event.
Now I can get my hands on some of the new loot. WHILE PLAYING AS A LONE WOLF!
F** U Bungie. It's time to change the whole company and the game. You still losing some people of the community! I won't come back till the next update. ( IF that will be a update that solo players also can play)

11 RepliesI see a lot of, "get a friend" replies. I'm in the same boat and I have over 120 people on my friends list. There are only 5 or so of them playing Destiny. Sometimes our schedules mesh, most of the time they don't. So, I end up playing the dailies for a bit and then I go back to playing Fallout 4. I have plenty of friends, most just aren't playing this game when I do.

C'mon guys, be reasonable. Bungie just likes keeping their graphic designer's busy with new ways to dress up the tower. They just don't want to lose some really talented individuals who are capable of adding so much to the game... Or maybe you are right - maybe they are greedy bastards who want to keep all that emote money, not make a DLC, and delay Destiny 2 into 2017. But how would making it harder to play in the event help them? How would having (another) game type without match making fit into their evil plan? What, you think they realized they could make a crappy event and then make it hard to play? Especially if you only had 15 minutes to play before work or class. C'mon, get real - this is Bungie we're talking about. They have enough trouble walking and chewing gum without choking. Let's just chalk this one up to good old fashion incompetence. You know, the Bungie way.

Putting a no matchmaking rule on this event is so completely stupid that I swear Bungie is trying to make people quit. So just quit. I've been playing halo and all I do is go around sneaking for assassinations and it's actually more enjoyable than anything destiny has to offer. I also don't have to wait around on LFG for 30 minutes before I play...

6 RepliesIt is a Valentines Day event. You are supposed to hook up with a partner. It goes completely against that idea if it's matchmaking. Besides, it is not that hard to get the 1 person to join you. I, myself, and almost 20 friends on Destiny when I logged in yesterday, and more came on as the day progressed. And I only have about 50 people on my friends list, some of which I play COD with, not Destiny. Heck, you could even fly down to the tower and msg random folk. It is easier to get a Crimson Doubles partner than it is too get 2 partners for Trials. No more excuses OP. Quit your whining. Get out there, get a clan m8, friend, or even a random, and start playing the game. #TitanMasterRace

Looks like you are gonna have to look for a different game. It's taken a year but I have decided that I have absolutely no interest in playing with other people and just like some of the replies here say, Bungie has firmly aimed the game at multiplayer fireteams. I think it's a shame as I believe it's not really necessary but it's bungies game and they can do what they like. There are lots of other games out there to play that are aimed at single players. It's really not worth paying all that money for DLC when you won't see the benefit of it. I've had some good times playing this game so I am not pissed off or anything, it's just time to find something that fits my play style better.

I'm sick of feeling forced to spend time (I could be playing the game) on a third party forum. So I've just stopped playing. The crucible is a mess anymore anyway so it's probably for the best.

I'm starting to wonder if the game is getting too expensive to operate. Is this Bungie's way of forcing the player base to quit? Piss off the vast majority of the player base so that they will stop playing your game. No more development costs. No more server costs. No more horrible contract with the devil (Activision/Sony). It's the only thing that makes sense. Why else would they mess up over and over again? Why else would they do absolutely nothing right for months? Why else wouldn't they fire the universally hated Luke Smith who has had the biggest hand in destroying the game we love?

I have slammed, shoulder charged, shot gunned, slapped and shot guardians, with nothing registering aaaannnddd while all players were still standing. Big fail Bungie. Thanks for a few shaders, ghosts and an emblem...booooooo.... It was soooo worth it(that was sarcasm) OH! And to top it off, I finished the bounties and my "nightfall type reward " was a 298 crapa pie fusion rifle, really, thank you! (More sarcasm) BOOOOOO.... You stink.

People still complain about this? Bungie have been abundantly clear they favour fireteams over solos. Deal with it, use LFG or play a different game.
