Edited by Strutherss: 2/9/2016 10:56:20 PMFall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest and the Halo Evolutions short story collections are the only ones I've read. The short story collections are also pretty good, I watched stop motion animations of them on Halo Waypoint before I even knew they were based off short stories. I have The Cole Protocol and the Forerunner trilogy too but I haven't actually read them. I've read all the graphic novels as well, but they weren't as satisfying as the actual novels

Edited by Edcub One: 2/9/2016 10:53:27 PMThe main books you should read are (in chronological order), The Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, and Ghosts of Onyx. After that you should read the Forerunner prequel trilogy, Cryptum, Primordium, and Silentium. After that read the other books at your own pace (I would avoid the Kilo-5 books as they are poorly written).

All of them
-
Ghosts of Onyx. I don't need to say anything. And of course Fall of Reach.
-
Fifty Shades of Grey
-
50 shades of grunt fanfic
-
2 Mongooses 1 Cup
-
Hunters In The Dark. Did you ever play Halo 3 co-op with 4 players, and Players 3 and 4 would be two "random" Elites? Those two have names, and are a huge part of the story. Although I haven't read it yet, you should try Shadow of Intent. It follows our old friend Half-Jaw, and it was written by Joseph Staten.

Forerunner trilogy is quite good
-
The Fall of Reach
-
Broken Circle, Contact Harvest, Fall of Reach, The First Strike, and Ghosts of Onyx are perhaps the most important pieces of Halo Canon. READ THEM.
-
The Kilo Five trilogy.
-
Depends on what you want to read? Pm me I've read all the novels several times
-
Fall of Reach.
-
Broken Circle is a fantastic historical look at The Covenant
-
Fall of reach, The Flood (basically Halo 1 but more in depth), First strike (between 1 and 2)
