I have a positive shout-out to make.

Yesterday, while doing some Skirmish matches to get my Grimoire score up, I was in a match that was about midway through. My team was winning, but it wasn't quite out of hand. Nevertheless, two of the opposing players left. The person left was THePhireMan. He stayed for the rest of the match (matchmaking never gave him two new teammates) and took the loss like a champ. I messaged him after and told him "Props for not quitting.". I received "Thanks bro". The good part? We were put on the same team the next match and won. :)

Good for him, I don't quit either. Be gracious in victory and defeat guardians. These are our brothers and sisters we fight with to hone our skill. Not enemies.

      • When this happens to me (if my enemies arent ass holes and t bag even though its 3 v 1) i take it as a personal challenge to win. Or atleast come close. Practice my 3v1 for trials.

        • We were in a trials match on the weekend, 2 of this guys friends got d/c mid match, we were up 3-1 m, i still felt bad for the guy tho and as soon as he saw us approaching he just started dancing so we danced with him. Then he just went back to orbit. I felt bad, but i was glad we didnt have to shoot him.

              • Last night in skirmish, my two teammates left. I was keeping the score equal during a 1v3, but then two more people joined onto my team. Needless to say, my team consisted of two guys who went 1 and 10. They both had .1 kds. They were basically giving the other team super. Had the game kept me solo with a 1v3, I would have won, and held a higher kd, as o would have been spammed by the other teams supers. (I still went positive tho)

              • That`s nice, but sometimes it`s better to quit. 3 days ago, me and some friends went into Control, the map was Pantheon and the game started normally, zero score for both sides, but, between the momment we started from A, when we reached B we were beeing killed by an Hunter with the Arcblade super. Sorry, better get out the sooner possible in a situation like this. How can this happen!? I don`t know, but it happened/happens.

                • I've been on the losing end like that before. I just sat down. The other team, once they realized I was alone, came over and we danced.

                  • I was on the opposite end of the situation myself the other day. I put up as good a fight as I could and was even able to get all 3 down at the same time once. I lost by a good amount, but at least one of my opponents praised me for sticking it through to the end. I would give a shout out to him/her but I can't remember right now and I'm too tired to look at my messages. But if said person ends up reading this, thanks again :) True Guardians never quit

                  • I have seen the exact same thing happen myself. I have much respect for anyone who will take on a 3v1 as if they have a chance and who will refuse to quit. We as a community should always make a point of GGing players who are so spirited. I hope no one would ever consider tea bagging someone in this situation.

                  • I wish there were more threads like this praising fellow players. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Equally unfortunate, this thread won't get many replies because you're not complaining, or giving someone else a platform to complain. Anyways, thanks for taking your time to post. I'm glad things turned out so well.

                    • Well played , I found myself in similar situations this weekend but I was the solo guardian. I couldn't understand why the other 2 left when we were winning was still going well and was holding my own against the other 3 till they go both heavies and then I was done for.Glad to hear some guardians give respect to those who do stick it out.

                      • was playing trials and after beating the other team a couple times, we realized they werent really doing anything. they were just dancing or sitting. my team had 4 wins and a teammate and I got to the last living enemy and he was just sitting in his spawn, so we danced with him. He suddenly get up and started dancing. then my third teammate snipes him outta nowhere and our dance party turned bloody in an instant.
i havent been able to sleep since
