Banned..?
I logged on today and saw that I have been banned temporarily from pvp. This came as a huge surprise to me, but I think I understand the reason why. For the past couple of weeks my internet randomly craps out and causes me to lag severely. This is something that I have absolutely no control over, and have been working on fixing to the best of my ability.. These spikes of lag are just as infuriating for me as they are for other players, as I am in control of nothing and can just either sit there or leave the game until my internet decides to calm itself down. Does anyone know of a email that I can contact to either get the ban removed, or at least clear my name? I am someone who absolutely loves destiny and pretty much exclusively plays pvp. I would hate for my reputation and account to be tarnished because of my ongoing internet issues.

15 RepliesSo there are Account Restrictions and Bans in Destiny - these are two separate entities. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent. 9 RepliesSooo...theoretically one day I could have a bad connection (due to my provider doing maintainace, for example), and a group of butt-players could report me, and I would get a "temporary ban" (lets just call it what it is, eh?) with LITERALLY no investigation into the matter from bungie? I'm in disbelief. Its like creating a goverment with the general populace policing themselves, but with no impartial mediators, or anyone in authority to impart accountability for false accusations. Also, since we're at it, why not just "restrict" the whole game instead of pvp? It's not like by now everyones NOT finished every ounce of PvE content, and with literally nothing on the forseeable horizon, would it matter? Or is it more of a punishment to force someone to replay 5 month old content?

1 ReplyYou should be banned for your connection if you can't afford a connection you can't afford to be in the game I pay $130 a month for my connection and to have somebody come along with a bad connection and you can't kill them it's ridiculous it ruins the experience of the game for me and especially for my wallet

2 RepliesThis is what I have been arguing for a while now, just because someone is red barring doesn't mean they are cheating. I have really good internet but I do get issues every once in a while...EVERYONE does. Most of the time I think people just get reported is because people get angry for doing so badly and automatically assume "cheater" when it could be them that's red barring. I don't condone cheating and if you cheat then you deserve to be banned.
