Monthly pve event idea

The story: Cayde tapped his foot to the beat of the lounge music, great fun to be away from the silence of his normal post. Zavala let out a long sigh beside him, venting his frustration. "Why are we wasting time doing this? There is still work to do and Guardians that need our guidance." The Titan vanguard set his hands of cards down on the table and scowled in his dissatisfaction. "We're doing this because standing at that table is bad for my health...and yours I guess." Cayde checked his own cards again and then looked to Ikora, who was watching him. "I know the view is nice but you wanna make your bet?" Ikora seemed unfazed by the comment, as always calm. "How can I make a proper bet without looking for a tell?" "You just do," Cayde answered. "Not all of us just jump in heads first," Zavala cut in. "Some people like to put some actual thought into what they do." "Hey, I put thought into what I do," the vanguard Hunter defended. "But I'm not hung up on planning and can take action. And my actions have been pretty successful so far." "For now they have but how many hunters have you lead to be just as reckless? How many have then died because they didn't think ahead?" Cayde flared across the table at the Titan but Zavala stood his ground. "You count all the times your jumping to action has worked but do you count when it doesn't?" Cayde opened his mouth to retort but Ikora cut in. "Planning has never been a strong suit of the Hunter, and you know it. That isn't on Cayde." "He has the power as their power as their vanguard to push them away from such behavior. We stress to our Guardians the importance of preparation but what good does that do them if they have a Hunter who doesn't?" Zavala's voice was stern and serious and he made his argument. "Well at least those Hunters are getting something done," Cayde snapped. "We don't sit behind walls or in libraries just waiting, were out there hitting the enemy hard and making them know that we are fighting back." "Hunters are not the only Guardians that do so, Cayde." Ikora's voice had a sharp edge to it, giving away her annoyance. "My Warlocks are always looking for new information about or enemies to better understand them." "And my Titans are using that information to defend the City better," Zavala added. "A lot of talk and not a lot of action. You can study and prep as much as you like but Hunters are out there doing the fighting. Taking action and getting things done." Cayde tossed his cards down onto the table, recognizing that their game was a bust. "You think that only your Hunters are getting anything done?" Ikora asked, holding up a hand to keep Zavala from cutting in. "Then how about a wager?" Cayde perked up at the word and leaned against the table. "I'm listening." And so the Vanguard Wager Event is born. Zavala, Ikora, and Cayde-6 all wager that their Guardians do the most to defend the city and its your chance to represent your class. It would have a separate rank named based off of your Vanguard so the Titans would have Zavala's favor and Hunters would have Cayde's favor. There would be three daily bounties and three weekly bounties the same as IB. There are two ways these bounties can be done to make them fun and interesting. Way 1: based on subclass. Each weekly bounty would be achieving something with each of the subclasses and the dailies would be general bounties. Way 2:(the way I think is best) the weekly bounties would be split into the three pve areas. Patrols/bounties, strikes, and raids. Dailies could be subclass based. This way you could tie in daily missions, nightfalls, and people could run the old raids for the raid bounty. The event would have packages at 3 and 5 like IB with a guaranteed 320 drop from rank 5. Why guaranteed? Because light level actually matters in pve. So what do you guys think? [edit] there would also be a buff each day like with IB that would be called determination or [Guardian class] pride.
