So since i had decided not to buy the TTK DLC i have been farming patrols with one thing in mind. Crucible weapons. Crucible weapons are level 30 with a 280 light level. So why do i have them in mind well to level up my light of course and become the most powerful level 34 in the game! :P Mwahahaha and Im almost there. Currently im level 34 with a light level of 198 and just one more Crucible weapon to get. Now your thinking "Well how does farming patrols help get crucible weapons?" Its simple really. Since i dont have TTK i cant earn legendary marks as easily as people with that particular DLC so i devised a plan. Farm patrols until i rank up in vangaurd or a faction and then collect my reward which is always a piece of year two gear. Break down said gear (since its level 40 i cant equip it) and get my measily 3 marks from it. Collect enough marks to purchase a lvl 30 crucible weapon then equip that to raise my light. I also decided that once all three weapons had been collected that i would shift my focus to getting year two exotic weapons via the use of those three of coins i can buy from Xur and then fuse those to my crucible weapons to increase the light level on my character even more. So in Short im totally awesome and you should all bow before me :P Edit 1: This is not a money issue i simply refuse to buy the Taken King DLC for reasons of my own. So please Stop thinking i should just go out and earn $40 and buy it because thats not gonna happen. Edit 2: To all those giving support and saying im awesome thank you. To all those doing otherwise well your just jealous :P I will post in this thread again at a later time when i have my third weapon and let you know how much more awesome i have become :P until then off to patrols i go! Edit 3: Now a Light Level 200 as a level 34. Accomplished by fusing my Scout Rifle with a Year 2 Hawkmoon bringing the total Light level of the Scout to 288. Actually thought it would go to 290 once it was fused but I guess 288 is better than it not going up at all. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
