Now I know that F4 is new, and Skyrim is about 4-5 years old, but it is still an amazing game. Skyrim had so much to do, so many items, unlimited side quests, if you spent the time to get all the main ones done, including dlcs (which both added so much more). Does F4 compare to it?

Skyrim I consider my first big boy game I ever played, I had to start a new character my first hour in because I got lost ended up on the opposite side of the map from the first tow. You go to hahaha

Don't make me choose, man... Please...

Super modded Skyrim might stand a chance against vanilla Fallout 4, but only if I didn't have dig through everything every time something decided not to work.

Elder scrolls online
-
I like Fallout 4 a little more but they're almost the same exact thing so bad
-
Obviously Skyrim
-
Fallout 4 definitely. Skyrim was a bastardization of the elder scrolls franchise before it. There removed or simplified too much, and overall did not make too many large improvements over the older ones. I loved the game, but skyrim was no oblivion or morrowind.
-
I loved skyrim a lot. Fallout is a little more mainstreamed than the others which is fine. To choose between the two though is actually really hard. But I guess if I have to vote in gonna say Fallout cause I enjoy the Fallout series more than the elder scroll ones.

Did Skyrim have a bigger map?

Fallout 4
-
Fallout is the objectively superior game, it is also my favorite game.
-
I enjoyed skyrim much more
-
Too soon to tell, but so far Fallout is simply a superior base game.

Why choose?

Edited by thefourfoldroot: 11/30/2015 11:29:58 AMI never cared about the story of a single character in skyrim or oblivion; but in fallout4 I am actually interested in the stories of my companions and keep coming across cool vignettes that flesh out the story/lore. I also prefer the combat in fallout4. Better than anything I the last 2 elder scrolls and much more fluid than the other fallouts too (love the lack of aim assist!) So my vote is certainly for fallout4. Morrowind dies compete very well though.

Way too soon to tell. Skyrim got better with age, I haven't had enough time with Fallout.

I loved Skyrim but my only true complaint was that the game seemed to serious. With fallout 4 the simple act of changing the radio station completely changes the feel of the game. It can be serious classical music or the great 30's-50's tunes from Diamond City Radio. Slaying Super Mutants, death claws, ghouls while rocking to Diamond City Radio puts a big ol' smile on this old man's face. *it's the simpe things in life.

The bound I had with Skyrim is to strong to betray it all 4+ weeks on it

It pretty much comes down to whether you like fighting with swords and magic in a fantasy setting or fighting with guns in a post apocalypse setting. Asides from that they are very similar, they're both pretty good games with potentially unlimited replay value.
-
I wasn't too into the elderscrolls
-
Farcry, the true Skyrim with guns done right.

I picked Skyrim. Fallout 4 whilst amazing has given me no end of glitches and bugs that I didn't experience in Skyrim (I was on 360 thank god) and I've always been a fan of fantasy and magic rather than the future techy universe. That's just me though, both great games.
