Me, I still get visceral joy when I track an enemy's movement to land a headshot and watch said enemy explode into nothingness . When that doesn't happen anymore, I'll leave.
You done with the game? Bully for you. But others may not be and that has nothing to do with you.
Besides, the noobs in the Crucible are doing wonders for my K/D!
Edit: a lot of people proving my point by mocking my KD versus addressing the main point of my post. End of the day, we want these forums to be a useful resource, and endless negativity from people is totally pointless. If you are done with the game- great. But why try and drag down those who are still enjoying it (or just discovering it) into your negativity?

Check my characters I've loved this game from beta. I just realised you can get caught up doing stuff for the sake of it cos I "have to" 3 hm raids, 3 nightfalls, level 5 banner, 3 flawless runs as so on. I realised I didn't have to. Then I realised I didn't want to either. Now I don't. No game gripped me like destiny did so it's a credit to those clever psychologists that came up with the system, rewards, making it social, making it feel like friends relied on me to help with their raids and flawless runs and so on. Well played. You get 320 drops from challenge mode. You might be the first 320 in the world. So... All that does is make an easy game easier. So the very stuff we complain about, the ease of the game, the lack of rewards are actually in conflict with each other. Too many good drops the game becomes easier and we complain. Not enough we complain we aren't being rewarded. I just fly about mindlessly in cod now peow peow peow. By all means carry on thinking you have to do all of these pretty banal things, I did for a long time and enjoyed a lot of it.

14 RepliesThat bashing that destiny gets is pretty insane and irrational. -complaints that TTK was 40 dollars: TTK is basically destiny 2. But you don't have to play 60 dollars. What do you get for BO3, which was 3 years in the making? Basically, the same guns, a few new maps, another crap campaign and a terrible zombie mode. You have to pay 110 dollars to get Der Reise which is awesome. -lack of story. CoD. ESO. Need I say more? Fallout is on a different category. I love fallout, but I can even admit that fallout 4 is essentially fallout 3 and NV updated. There is very little new and amazing. I paid 140 total for destiny. It's been well worth it. I've gotten more from my money than from any game ever. I feel dirty for paying 110 for BO3.

This logic is genius. Run off all the players you can so that the game you'd apparently be willing to die for either doesn't have enough players to continue running, or has to charge even more for dlcs. Bravo.

1 ReplyI have all my characters at 315+ and have all exotics. And have had it that way for like 3 weeks. Theres no point for me to play anymore because in the next expansion its all going to become useless anyways. The exotics for year two are no where near as fun as the year 1 exotics. Right now destiny is dead, but i will gladly return when the game comes with something truly new.

Next you'll be trying to max your grimoire. My guess is you hit that gear wall about ll 300? Not getting higher light? doing raids, trials, but no getting gear you need? I left a while back I come back to see if any new contenent coming. But alas none oh wait new content they are slowly giving you your old weapons back . if that's not them trying to commit suicide, its pretty lame . where is the new content. Have they even mentioned any dlc in a while . nope so they are killing destiny .

1 ReplyDestiny is just ok but it's pretty much dead. People might come back but other than iron banner it is hard to say the game is anything but boring. Can only raid 3 times a week and rewards from almost everything else isn't worth time.

Destiny have done wonders for my gaming budget. Every time I thought about spending $60 on a new game, I just launch Destiny instead. Saved me at least $300+ so far and counting. Lacking content or no, if it can still keep me entertain with interesting guns, I say kudos to Bungie.
