Motes of light?
I need to farm motes of light so I can upgrade my gear on my new character faster. I need a lot though. Anyone have any advice on how to get these fairly quickly?

Ok sweet, I'm just looking for the most effective way to farm them. I know there are many ways, just want the best.

Do prison of elders or do strikes

check destinypublicevents.com and do public events you'll get plenty in no time.

play the game - do strikes , get tons of engrams, cryptarc will provide some - as you play that xp bar : 5 motes - public events: motes - old raid material > speaker exchange to motes

Just play the game. You get about 20 an hour
