Now before you hate on me for being one of those "oh no aim assistance is bs and should be removed" kind of guys don't please that's not what this post is about its more of a post to maybe have bungie prove a point, remove aim assistance from the game for one weekend for trials off osiris on all guns not just snipers. then people will finally figure out why aim assistance is needed on a game with so many vertical and quick side to side movements. thanks for reading.

Just turn it off aim is much better.
-
Go into patrol with your friend, or a story mission or something. Now try and shoot him as he runs back and forth. That's what it's like to have no aim assist.
-
Even better make it like CoD sniping
-
Go snipe in Fallout... Then come back to easy mode

Aim assist makes aiming a weapon with a console remote possible. Otherwise you would miss half your shots at least
-
Your welcome. I always did like reading. Solid idea btw.
-
Yes and take away impact from weapon profile
-
Those of you begging for no aim-assist have obviously never played a game with a console controller where you can toggle it off.
-
Bullet magnetism is the problem. Aim assist doesn't do much. It's the fact that bullets practically curve around corners because of the magnetism. Don't have a link but there's a great video showing how mida bullets will curve to the target if aim assist is active on a target.

I retract my statement. GREAT IDEA!!!!
-
You're welcome.
-
i play call of duty and the aim assist is out of control , my entire gun shifts towards the person , -blam!-ing stupid. take that shit out
-
I would be fine with this
-
I thought you were complaining. Well you kind of are but I like the idea
-
You'll miss it when it's gone
-
Would love an option to turn it off.
-
I think you should have an option to turn it off. AA is great in some instances, but really sucks ass when you're scouting someone and your reticle goes on some goofy mother -blam!-er running by instead.

People complain so much. In year one I used pradethys revenge sniper (21 aim assist or something) and was nailing headshots all the time. I do the same thing now with a 1000 yard stare. Aim assistance does almost nothing. I still miss plenty of headshots. Just accept that there are people that are really good at sniping. If it was so easy to snipe everyone would do it but it's usually less than half the players snipe. You will see snipers more in competitive game modes like trials because the best players play those game types and are good with all weapons. Go into regular crucible and only a few people snipe. I have used snipers since the original halo and always run sniper no matter what, so I have gotten better over time. Yet I still miss plenty of shots. 1000 yard stare is not an automatic headshot machine it takes skill.

They cld so it like black ops 3...snipers don't have aim assist and everything else does. I feel like thats a good middle ground
-
Aim assist exists to make controllers viable for sniping.
-
if we were at 60fps and had no latency sure. it would work personally having them do that for a day would be kind of lol just to make the point but most everyone with a sliver of intelligence realizes why it's in the game.
-
If you've ever played halo and tried to kill teammates its hard as shit because there is no aim assist, it's needed for console games.
-
Simple fix to the sniping plague: Force kick from scope when hit! That'll seperate the good from the bad.
-
AA was built into console gaming for a reason. A controller will never be as precise as a mouse and keyboard. NEVER! Don't believe me? Go back and play CoD BO1 and turn off AA. Do that and come back here and tell us how it went. Then we'll talk.

Ahem Counter strike
