How about some lore, some backstory? Where did the guardian's come from? Where are we going? This is supposed to be a 10 year story arch and we don't even know our goal yet other than "beat back the darkness". I'm not talking about story in the form of 'introduce bad guy, git güd, kill bad guy, wait for next bad guy'. I'm talking about some deep psychological shit I'll be telling my grandkids about. I mean, throw in a twist here and there. What if we find out the 'darkness' was a weapon created by the Traveler to keep humans in check/stop abusing their light? Or we find out Zavala has sold out the Tower defense codes to the Cabal for immunity from the Cabal fleet for him and his 'select few'. Then we must hunt him down on his frozen fortress on Europa. With countless dead due to the betrayal and a tower in shambles, we must find a way to rebuild, hold back the cabal and find Zavala before he sells away what the elders have kept secret for so long... A way to disable a guardian's light. (Forgive me if it's dumb, I came up with it in my frustration just now). I dunno, I do like the game, I just need some shock and awe destiny nor the 100s of pages of reading deliver upon. Heck, I don't even care if the same actors are present for future DLC I just need some... Oomf! (And I want it in game lol)
