To our community managers,
Whilst we appreciate being informed in the game we play that 'The Festival of the Lost' has begun or 'Refer a Friend' has started we would also like to be informed in-game that Iron Banner or Trials is about to end. Also that the weekly or daily reset is imminent.
Posting these announcements on Twitter when you are running a game and have your own website is not acceptable and is not the best way to inform your community.
Please keep this bumped to get the message across.

Example for Bungie. I posted on Twitter I would be missing work because I was sick. Boss didn't check his Twitter to see my tweet resulting in no replacement for my position and loss of job.
-
I'd appreciate being informed on the "story mode" that has yet to be patched into the game after a year.
-
To our community managers, Please stop making the community tell you how to do your job.

But they would have to visit here. No, that won't do. It's in keeping with their philosophy about going outside the game to find friends. After all, it would be all hypocritical and junk to use in-house social media to communicate with us. What kind of precedent would that set - using the provided communication outlet - to communicate with us? Perish the thought!

I have said this before, so I will just paste it here too: Why the frick should we need to go online to dozens of sites to stay up on what is happening, or for things related to Destiny? They have a website that they tell us to give them feedback and to ask for help for problems, and they have a news page. So we have to regularly check the newspage, the forums feedback, help, gaming, recruitment and then go to the LFG sites to find others to join us for things like a raid. Then Twitter @bungie, #bungiehelp, #bungiedestiny, oh yeah, then you need to check the different facebook places, oh and then don't forget reddit and what else? Video from twitch anyone? If is a total cluster-blam (as the military calls it) that people that are paying for a product to have fun need to go to so many places, and even away from the game to find out things. Anyone who continues to support them with all this crud, need to have a conversation with a shrink; especially since Bungie (who really needs to see one) won't go to have their heads examined. While Bungie does has a Psych Department, that tries to manipulate us, I don't think that they are the right ones to talk to, as they seem to be more warped than the engines capacity on the Enterprise. So if Bungie does take the advice, which I highly doubt, I would suggest using the yellow pages to find one that doesn't work for a software company.

Why don't they just have a timer counting down to reset when you are in orbit picking your destination?
-
They should never be using Twitter. There is no excuse not to have an in game device for this
-
Bump. A simple bottom scrolling message would be ideal. They say when servers are going down so something like this would be great
-
It's totally acceptable to use twitter so get over it.
-
Actually twitter is probably the best most efficient way to get out information quick. And just about every single industry and news outlet uses twitter because it is called good PR, there are jobs for people to just run Twitter and Instagram accounts. Don't hate on twitter because you don't have one. Yes, posting to the website/app would make sense as well but ya know twitter is what people do.

Bump. Is that really too much to ask? I don't think so. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/173224562

Bumpity bump

the only thing they manage is our tears. Their Twitter needs traffic, this is my only guess as to why they put the notification on twitter.

They could easily implement this straight into the game with a banner/pop up like they do any time you unlock something through leveling up or when iron banner starts. There should be a banner when you go to orbit that says "IB will end early at this time". I don't know why the choose the worse methods, it's like their goal is to piss players off.

People have been asking for this for ages. So sad we don't already have it. Bungie and the community managers are pathetic
-
And we bump again
