CONQUEST! A new PVE thing! [UPDATED!]

Hunters are like jackdaws. We like shiny things. How many of you go into a Patrol daily with that loot sparkle in your eyes? Materials, chests, engrams, we just have to have it all. At this point in my life I don't really have a lot of time to play Destiny - I can maybe get an hour or two every 3-4 days. In fact, I haven't purchased The Taken King yet. As a result, I end up logging in to do a few bounties, but I'm underleved for most of the higher end stuff. And my busy schedule means I can't just log in a do a Raid or anything compromising like that. Does this mean I have to sit out of the PVE fun? NO! I came up with this idea I call Conquest. Conquest of what, you ask? Of the Frontier, fellow Guardians! That's right. As you know, New Monar- I mean, The City is constantly looking for Golden Age tech to advance our glorious pursuit of the times of old. Not only that, but there's glory to be found for Titans, new knowledge for Warlocks, and Hunters will be able to scratch that itch not even their knife can scratch! But how does Conquest work? The Frontier is a harsh ever-changing place! Guardians are sent there all the time to claim resources, loot, and grounds for the Crucible, among everything else they manage to hoard. More pragmatically, Conquest is a new game mode that introduces The Frontier, a procedurally generated set of maps with a weekly reset. Every week, a new random map is generated on each planet, with random world bosses and specific events. The objective is to conquer as much of the Frontier as possible before the weekly reset: control zones, disrupt enemy spawn points, capture buildings and other landmarks, kill bosses, and LOOT THE PLACE BARE! Guardians are admitted dynamically, just listen to this hypothetical report:
I log in and select a planet. I this view, there is a new Conquest marker, one that tells how "hot" that Frontier is, what's threatening it, how many zones does the city control, how many enemy world bosses have we managed to kill, and so on. Should I decide to join, I get dropped in a safe zone that was previously captured by fellow Guardians. But oh no! A flare in the sky! The fallen are clawing at the walls of one of our vehicle-link watchtowers! If they capture it, we won't be able to summon our Sparrows. We run there only to find Rushiks Prime, a (randomly generated) Fallen High Servitor feeding off our power systems. We quickly recapture the vehicle-link, but the Servitor world boss is proving to be an immense challenge. Soon our supply will run dry. Suddenly, in a deafening blast, Rushiks Prime and his Fallen entourage have captured our power supply for themselves. All enemies in that area are now sporting the Ironclad modifier as a result! We the survivors retreat, but on the horizon a mass of fresh Guardians is approaching - it's the Seneschals of the Nine clan coming in like a storm. We join them and return to Rushiks - the Fallen prove to be a trifling challenge after all. The supply is ours again. The Seneschals' flag flies above the plant, and guess what? THAT SERVITOR WAS LIKE A PIÑATA FOR ENGRAMS! I've played for about 45 minutes, but I got a Legendary Hand Cannon and am pretty happy for it. I am forced to log out because I have to wake at 5am tomorrow, but I do so happy that I got 45 minutes of intense fun. - Master Rahool 2015
Now, this is pretty stylized, but the idea is there - a sort of massive PVE tug of war with multiple objectives (capture, control, kill, scout, sabotage, whatever) that players can get in and out of. Events are more regular than in other maps, as enemies try to claim positions and actively seek to disrupt your plans. There could also be occasional events with meaningful results - defend a warsat -> enable Vanguard Missions -> after 1000 Ether Sups and 250 Induction Rods gathered collectively, a massive cannon can be built to garrison some control zone! As the Guardians push more into the Frontier, they find not only glorious loot but Golden Age relics as well! Solo scouts and infiltrators will be rewarded for the risk they take in extracting pre-Collapse tech and returning it to the city. I think I don't have anything more to say. I guess the community can enhance this idea and make it reach Bungie. Ask questions, build on this, give me your feedback. Thanks!
