am i using three of coins wrong?
i pop one right after i kill a strike boss depending if it counts as a ultra or major ( i.e omnigul, flayers) but after using twenty coins i have yet to have a exotic drop? which is weird cause the most ive had to have used is five or seven but i thought that after you kill a strike boss and a exotic doesnt drop there's a percentage increase and timer to get the the percentage increase next time i use a three of coins so is this a spot of really bad luck? or am using them wrong?

4 RepliesTry popping one right before your fight. That gives everything the time to "cool down" before using the next one. Using this method gets me an exotic every 4-6 uses.

I pop them for the chance to get multiple engrams. There are some 300's to be had. Screw the exotics as I have too many already

3 RepliesSo many people talking crap about your after killing ultra method. I like it. That coin he pops after killing an ultra is for the next ultra. He pops one every time it wears off due to killing an ultra. Seems pretty straightforward.

The more you use, the higher chance of a drop. Heck, use like 100 it'll probably give you 2 exotics at once!

Edited by PenButNoPaper: 11/23/2015 6:37:43 PMI still farm Draksis. I get one exotic every 4 to 7 3ofCoins. I pop mine before entering the room, and kill everything before rocket suicide on the boss. I sometimes wait a couple rounds on Draksis after getting an exotic engram, before using another 3ofCoin. Edit: I haven't used this method since the last two updates. Last time was last last Monday.

They had a public nerf then there was a "ninja" nerf. Yea, the drop rates have tanked. Sucks cause I just hit 300 w both my characters and have a chance at 310 exotics. I had a method that I kept to myself that, even after the initial nerf, would produce near 25% exotics. I can't put a number on it now and haven't found a trick to getting anywhere near 1 in 4 like before.

You use three of coins, kill the boss, wait ten minutes, and repeat. It increases the chance of a exotic dropping

Ya I used to get one like every 5-6 coins but last time I used up 15 without getting any. Either its a bug or a serious nerf. Both are bad. They need to change it back to the way it was. They need to make it skill based if they are worried with the drops being too much at 5.
