If you absolutely must nerf sunbreaker, relegate it to pvp only. I'm not the only pve player who feels this way. Keep it in pvp. I shouldn't be punished because pvp crybabies don't know how to counter a super.
LEAVE PVE ALONE!

As a sunbreaker, I agree it should be nerfed. But not the damage or number of hammers. The velocity, range, and accuracy should all be reduced. This would allow you to have a fighting chance and allow you to dodge to an extent. The amount of extra armor should also be reduced to a point where they are actually killable without going through 3 clips of an auto rifle, 5 head shots from a sniper, 7 shotgun shells, a rocket, and the entire opposing team's supers.
-
Yeah and buff blade dancer in pve
-
Everything in PVP should be separate when it comes to nerfs and buffs. Why it hasn't already been done is beyond me.
-
Lol I agree with you but you should really play against it in PvP before calling people cry babies. Twice yesterday I killed the entire enemy 6 man team in rift because of all the different added abilities I have from the sub class and armour
-
bump!

So let's address this, your sunbreaker Super is basically an unkillable super unless the user is just simply not paying attention. Upon activation, it takes 2 golden gun shots to take you down, a whole clip of shotgun, well placed sniper shots, a nova bomb (which seems to be the only super even closely matching it in one shot), you regain health upon killing it so it takes a lifetime to take you down, and you have a stupid amount of armor compared to ALL the supers. For the fact you have a long range one shot weapon, it seriously has no flaws. It's the same problem with your fist of havoc which give you an immunity frame upon activation or your shoulder charge but at least that can be countered. I wouldn't complain if it didn't seem like bungie is kissing the titans butt in every way, while they nerf hunters at a moment's notice.
-
How bad do you suck?
-
If Bungie nerfs Hammer of Sol's damage resistance to the same as a blade dancer's what PvE activity will be too difficult for you to beat?
-
My biggest issue is the armor. Think about every other classes mobile supers. Hunters with bladedancer or golden gun, both give no additional armor allowing them to die. The sunsinger warlock is the closest we get to a Hammer titan, and they can still be killed with a few well placed shots. Why is the titan a mobile tank with one shotters. Also, they have way more hammers than golden gun shots.
-
Absolutely do not nerf it for PvE. We need those hammers to clear adds in the raid!
-
Agreed, it's too strong in PvP but just fine in PvE currently.
-
I'm with you op. But sadly they're always going to cater to the pvp cry babies.
-
It's too late now man, expect it Tuesday maybe
-
What happens in pvp stays in pvp
-
They need to separate pve and pvp all together
-
This should be for weapon nerfs as well. Nerf only where applicable.
-
Seconded. And roll back all the other subclass nerfs for PvE too.
-
As a PvPer, they need to keep nerfs in PvP only.
-
Yes exactly. In PVE the Sunbreakers overpower is an amazing advanctage
-
I agree only noobs play hammers.
-
How about they buff bladedancer to not suck in PvE heh? You are a PvE'er right? Then you should want this... right? Unless of course you are biased to only titan being the best in both PvE and PvP? Just curios.

Edited by NaturalAnomaly: 11/8/2015 4:56:12 PMI think they should nerf it and I main as a Titan but when I play as a hunter or warlock and come across a HoS in pvp I turn around and run like hell. That's really all I can do. So my idea was if they're going to nerf it (all they've said so far is their going to look into it) I'd be okay with them taking away the hammer throw and turning it into a melee class like the blade dancer. Maybe give it more defense then or give the charge attack more distance or give it a perk like bald dancer that extends time duration.

Amen.

I used to think that it was op in general, but after getting to play with it for a while, I learned that it's op in crucible, and a solid choice in pve. It still outshines the striker in every way possible though.
