This poll should show how destiny's progress should focus on
edit: last one should be more pvp than pve
Doesn't let me change it

bump!

Strange, I thought that PvP and PvE will vote the same number.
-
PvP. I rather stomp in guardian faces rather than A.I.
-
Lolz at last option
-
I bought it for both. I love the lore and the Crucible. Although, the Crucible needs work. Not a lot of people enjoy it.
-
I bought destiny because of the false bullshit advertising. And because it was made by two major successful companies, Bungie and activision. It was like if Apple and Samsung got together to make a phone and released a pos broken brick with an antenna taped to it. F**k Bungievision

Edited by Lonethought: 11/2/2015 9:18:48 AMBought for amazing gameplay and an equally matched STORY... and it's GONE!!!
see it says "original"..... yeah.... that
Pve definitely. There are many, many games which do pvp better.
-
Something to do till fallout 4
-
Our only hope is destiny 2 We want epic adventure I really don't care about fighting some kid in Iowa sitting on his couch in his underoos.

Edited by RaveEX: 11/2/2015 4:19:18 AMAll forum polls are statistically meaningless since they're not only ignored by most players, but are also mostly bias due to it attracting the vocal minority. The vocal minority being PVP haters in this case. So no, this dosn't say what direction Destiny should take.
-
PVE only. Little did we know how screwed up the overlap with PVP would lead to so many senseless, unnecessary changes to ruin PVE. This game has been completely and systematically destroyed because of the failure to separate the two. Destiny 2 will be an epic fail as well unless this gets changed.

You left out the option; "Bought due to stupidity." I'm just saying. K thanks bye.

Edited by ImTooHungover: 11/2/2015 6:06:10 PMBought it more for the pve coop. Wanted that awesome Open World Haloesque game that doesn't exist. PvP was a bonus...so I thought.
-
The game was marketed as a pve game and I purchased it as such. The fact they kept forcing me into PvP is one of the reasons I uninstalled.
-
Destiny was first and foremost marketed as an open world social PvE experience. What we got were linear maps with small open areas where you're lucky to see 2 or 3 other people in a map with 0 social tools for endgame. Nothing against PvP, but PvE needs a much better focus and vision moving forward... We barely know anything about the story, nothing about the characters we meet (with some yet to resurface since vanilla) there's about 0 exposition that tells us what is actually going on. All of our year 1 progress has been replaced by a shader, a sparrow and a couple of emblems... and the new progression system is the same as it was in vanilla destiny just with a new coat of paint. Someone at Bungie needs to figure what this game is because it's been over a year and the game still has all the same problems it had at launch. I've clinged to Destiny from alpha up until now and it feels more like a chore to play. It has such great gameplay but everything else is so poorly executed. PvE still needs a complete overhaul, i mean the quest system is fine, but all of the time locked/gated content, the endless grind to incrementally increase your light level, the extremely small variety of gear to wear, making year 1 content completely irrelevant and only having 1 relevant raid at is all incredibly stupid, shortsighted and has lack of vision. There's a lot of unused content in Destiny at this point, the initial complaints were that there wasn't enough, and there still isn't enough.

There have been PVE vs PVP polls in the past. Every time the votes have been in favor of PVE. Some have been as high as 90% in favor of PVE.
-
Both expected an awesome story and world with halo-like pvp....I got neither
-
PvE may be what we want for the game, but that is clearly different from what Bungie wants. I will support them in building a multimodal gaming experience, but not one that sacrifices one mode to appease another. Yes, I'm talking about the endless weapon nerfs to satisfy PvP.
-
Edited by DUESHOLE: 11/3/2015 6:20:17 PMExactly what I expected the results to be, yet most of the weapon balancing and adjustments go towards PvP. Someone said it better from an earlier post I read. Referencing Luke Smith's most recent interview and what he expects the game to be, it seems like this game was made with the developers' views and desires in mind first, and we're left to just fill their test/playground and live with the consequences

Both. After you have run the strikes and raids over and over and over again it's nice to change things up and play some PVP. Nothing against casuals who are too scared to play against other players, but they sure do complain a lot about PVP rewards when 90% of rewards and content is from PVE. Pretty sad.
-
I bought it because there wasn't really anything else to play lmao
-
Checking back, looks like Bungie still got it right. Destiny is about 60 percent PvE so good job Bungie.
