Marionberry error code....still.

So the game has been out for over a year now, and I'm still getting the same error code over and over, but without any sort of consistency. It's a simple fix, i know, just reboot the router, and it should work fine, or adjust the NAT settings. However, I am living on a college campus and using their internet, so neither of these options are available to me. I am still able to get on MOST of the time, but want to be able to play whenever I want. Is there any way to bypass this error without tampering with my router settings? Thanks

  • From my testing, Xbox Live tends to work reliably even without UPnP/port forwarding; there are just some restrictions on who you can play/communicate with. Two people on separate college campuses are unlikely to be able to play together without a middleman. It seems as though both XBL and PSN offer a "middleman" for some services, but not others. For example, I've never been able to get party chat to work on XBL when two people in the party are on separate heavily-restricted networks. If you're seeing this error often on a college campus while playing Destiny, there's a good chance something is wrong other than a simple network configuration issue. The simplest explanation is often that you're using Wi-Fi and the signal drops at times. (For example, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity will often fail if a nearby microwave is turned on, no matter how strong the signal appears to be.) Another likely explanation is that you're experience intermittent packet loss. This is problem that plagues large networks and can be very difficult to troubleshoot. Most colleges don't have the necessary resources to eliminate every last cause of packet loss on their network--it's simply too expensive, too time-consuming, and requires more expertise than they often have available. If this is the case, I'm afraid you're out of luck.
