This is utter bulls**t, these quest are impossible to solo. I need a Bungie employee to explain why I can't solo the second act of the story of The Taken King. I need someone to explain to me why the story mode goes against Bungie's motto, "Play the way you want."
Some of these quests are physically impossible to complete by yourself. A nerf is needed to these missions! Because we can't play the traditional way!
Edit: I'm dead serious guys. This isn't satire.
Edit 2: I'm specifically talking about the Taken War quest line.

I actually liked a challenge
-
Just wait until you get to fear's embrace.
-
I soloed every Taken War quest mission on my hunter and the last few on my warlock. Far from considering myself supremely talented in any way, I'm just pointing out that you can certainly go solo.
-
The last mission is really tough, but it is possible to solo it (I did on my Hunter). I doubt you would be complaining about anything except that last mission on Phobos though.
-
I solod everything up until the raid and nightfall
-
I did fears embrace by myself.
-
Some of them are challenging but I wouldn't call them impossible. With the right light levels and weapons they are completely doable. The only really tough one I remember is the taken champion on the rocket yard on earth. It's timed so if you kill the taken lieutenants quickly then hang out behind cover of the broken down cars directly across from where he spawns in the middle, you should be able to whittle his health down to nothing with a scout, a sniper and a rocket launcher. Destiny is boring solo and is meant to be played with friends. If you're ever having a difficult time just post in the recruitment section and someone will help you out.
-
I solo'd it. I solo'd champions on earth and all the taken war quest till the kings fall raid quest. So get better
-
*soloes in defiance*
-
tfw I soloed the entire thing. It's not hard git gud
-
I did the whole thing by myself with no problem
-
Git gud m8. I did it, and look at my amazing grimoir/medal score
-
The last one is a challenge
-
Yeah. Last Mars missions a bitch.
-
I beat a taken champion by myself as a warlock.
-
Get good kid... I soloed all of them by my self at 250 light. Scrub
-
I soloed Fears Embrace. Let me just say that I'm never going to play that damn mission again, it was the biggest pain for me. And I was under the light level... this was two weeks ago.
-
man I soloed every one including taken wars and fears embrace hard but very doable.
-
I've solod every quest and mission in ttk, except the parts where you have to raid or be match made into a strike. Really not that hard
-
The last mission is a pain in the butt for sure. Didn't solo it til I was a 301. That was the only one I had a problem on though.
-
302 Titan looking for oryx must be good at it and have experience
-
Edited by DarkMythos: 10/10/2015 11:56:35 PMI soloed every mission in the taken war except fears embrace. That shit was hard
-
Says no one... Ever. Until now. Scrub.
-
Just raise your light level a little before going after quests solo. Grind court of oryx when you can. Seriously, it drops more engrams for less time invested and I've had a much better success rate for 290+ gear to infuse with. Plus you have a chance of finding a large group of people to do the antiquated runes with. That'll sometimes give you 300 gear. Just keep it up and try again, you'll get it.
-
I understand that you are being serious. I also understand that your highest level character is your Warlock. Light level 285. Your other 2 characters??? Yeah, we will not even go into that. I'm not trying to be an ass! I know it can get frustrating as Hell at times. I am stuck at Echo myself on my Hunter. When equipped properly, he is a 295 (my good gear is on my Warlock right now). Actually, I think the last time I tried Echo I may have been below 290. I know it is a doable thing to solo. It just takes the right equipment and the right mindset (a little luck doesn't hurt either :) ) to get it done. What caused me to back away for a few days was a rocket launched at Echo when I didn't see the great big, INVISIBLE Minotaur step right in front of me. You might want to spend some time doing some other quests, running into Court of Oryx. Hell, get a vanguard streak (not necessarily Heroic) going for a while. Back away from the Taken Wars Quest and have a breather. Good luck with it!

Ive soloed everything bud. Step up ur game.
