Hey guys! I made a poll like this back in Take 2, but that was when the Trio was freeeesh. I've decided to ask ya'll this again, since you all have gotten to know the Trio better, vote away! ALSO! After friend Rush has left our team, I'm going on with a plot called "Back to the Future!", it's going to take up quite a few Takes (*badum tss*) because it's... Well, it's a plot! Summary for Back to the Future!: The Trio get sent back to the year 2015 after two Nova Bombs collide in the Crucible. Little do they know, a little Vex named Atheon is there as well. But while they are there, time seems to be messing up back in the future. Time to get with the times, Guardians!
And I'll introduce the new character probably at the end, or in the middle of the plot!
Let's see how the Trio get adjusted in our time. Are you excited? Yes, yes you are! Who's a good reader? Who's a good reader?
Missed the previous Take? Guardian Down Table of Contents: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/142503792/0/0
____________________________ "Ugh... My feet are killing me!" The Hunter complained, loudly and obnoxiously as he sat down on the cavern floor, his Ghost continuing to light the path. They had just finished taking out the horde of Vex that guarded the cave. Rush also had a seat next to the Hunter. Although he didn't want to complain, he was getting tired. Both the Warlock and Titan had stopped once the Hunter and Rush stopped. The Warlock scoffed, putting a hand on her hip. "Please," she began unsympathetically, frowning under her helmet, "The Titan's unwell, and he's not complaining!" The Titan was behind the Warlock, watching the Warlock scold the two Hunters. The Titan did want to point out something out. "And FURTHERMORE--" The Warlock was about to continue, but then the Titan put a hand on her shoulder. "Uh, there's something I'd like to say." The Titan said, ready to say what he needed to say. "Yes..? What is it?" The Warlock asked, turning her head 'round to look at the Titan. "I... I'm not really sick anymore..." The Titan admitted, twiddling his thumbs slowly. The Warlock turned her body around fully, tilting her head slightly. "Well, that's good! When did your ailment cease?" She asked. "Yeah, big guy, when did your ailment cease?" The Hunter chimed in, obviously hoping the Titan was lying the whole time. Rush looked at the Hunter. Gosh, this guy really did want to have a moment with the Warlock. "A-a while back..." The Titan continued to admit. Before the Warlock could speak, she heard a faint snicker. Whipping around, she saw it was the Hunter. "Do you mind?!" She snapped, frowning. "Oh heh, sorry." The Hunter gave a fake apology. He was enjoying this! Maybe now the Warlock would stop being so gushy with the Titan. Sighing irritably and turning around to meet the Titan again, the Warlock addressed him. "Titan..." She said in a surprisingly gentle voice. "Why didn't you say something earlier...?" "Because... Well... I just wanted to hang out with you while we did this thing..." The Titan said, rubbing the back of his neck. Yeah, well so did other people... the Hunter thought to himself, unable to wait for the Warlock to scold the Titan for technically lying. But, her reaction was much different than the Hunter had anticipated. "Titan... If you wanted to "hang out" with me, you simply could have requested it..." The Warlock said warmly as she walked up to the Titan to give him a hug. "U-uh." The Titan stuttered, still in the Warlock's hug. "I-I'll do that next time then!" "GUYS." The Hunter called to the two Guardians. "My feet are killin' me, here!" The Warlock stopped hugging the Titan to look at the Hunter now, chuckling lightly. "Would you prefer it if someone held you...?" She inquired, amused by the Hunter's flustered attitude. "W-well..." The Hunter began, thinking about the Warlock's notion at the same time. He actually wouldn't mind it if the Warlock helped him out. "I guess so..." He admitted, careful not to give out too much enthusiasm. "Well then," the Warlock started, "I may be able to help you..." A few minutes later, the Fireteam started to continue their quest. The Titan and Warlock ahead, and the Hunter... In Rush's arms, bridal style. "I freakin' hate this..." The Hunter muttered, arms crossed as he was being carried by Rush, blushing in embarrassment. "Yeah, well I'm not enjoying this much, either." Rush said back, also blushing. ____________________________ The Hunter aimed his sniper rifle down at the shielded Minotaur, finger curled around the trigger. "Okay, just a few more to go..." He mumbled to himself, about to pull the trigger, but just as he was about to shoot... "Hunter?" "GUH!" The Hunter jumped slightly as his concentration was broken, accidentally pulling the trigger and missing the Minotaur. This whole day just wasn't working out for him. First breakfast, then the Warlock's book, then the Warlock forgiving the Titan for basically holding the Hunter up from trying to "hang out" with the Warlock, and now... Now this! Growling, he whips around to the individual to vent. "WHAT THE HECK--" He abruptly stops, as he noticed that it was the Warlock he was yelling at. "Oh, wait I didn't--" The Hunter started to apologize, setting down his Sniper Rifle, and waving his hands. But... It was a bit too late for that. "...Nevermind, Hunter." The Warlock said bitterly. Moving away from the Hunter, the Warlock aimed her own sniper rifle down at the Minotaurs and shot at them. The Hunter, blushing in embarrassment, said nothing else and just continued to aim at the Minotaurs. What could he say? It was too late. Now the Warlock was mad at him. Perfect. Moving his head away from the scope of the rifle, he noticed that his hold on his rifle was shaky. "Tsk... Forget it..." He said to himself, setting his rifle down to his side as he just sat there. The Titan and Rush, who were sitting far behind the Hunter and Warlock and waiting for the "okay" to jump off the ledge where Sekrion waited at the bottom, watched the entire thing unfold. The Titan rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing what to do really. "I hate seeing a Fireteam be like this..." Rush said, sitting next to the Titan. The Titan looked at Rush, tilting his head to the side lightly. "Be like what...?" He asked. "Be apart." Rush simply answered. The Titan lifted his head back to normal, and gave Rush a confident too-harsh slap on the back. "Heh, don't worry! It'll work itself out, remember?" The Titan said happily and optimistically. Rush rubbed his back from the Titan's slap, groaning in pain. "Okay... Okay. Just please stop doing that!" The Titan, obviously not knowing when enough was enough, decided it was time to go one step further. "Haha, sorry, sorry! ...How about a hug, instead?" Rush suddenly found himself trembling in fear, scared stiff from the Titan's recent and suffocating hugs. Standing up, Rush started to back away slowly from the Titan. "N-no! Please no more hugs!" The Titan, also standing up, starting walking towards Rush with open arms. "C'mere you~!" The Titan said lovingly and happily. "N-NO!" Rush shouted, making a break for it past the Titan. He wasn't going to do it. He wasn't going to get bear hugged again! He'd rather face Sekrion than endure another hug! And that's just what Rush planned to do. ____________________________ Rush, panting from exhaustion, was hiding behind a rocky wall along with the Titan, taking cover from Sekrion's blasts. "It's alright, Sekrion's almost down." The Titan comforted Rush while still holding his auto rifle. Rush flopped on the ground. All this endless, tiring running was... Tiring! "We can't take a break yet!" The Titan said as he watched an incoming wave of Vex appear in a grey hazy fog. Rush stood up again as he began to shoot at the Vex's vulnerable stomachs.
