I believe the queen to be alive...or at least trapped, maybe taken.
I cannot believe a being as powerful and cunning as Mara Sov would willingly throw herself in front of Oryx upon his arrival. I understand that she paved the way for us to enter the Dreadnaught, but that was the only way? Why?
Secondly, if we can blink out of our ship before it explodes (beginning of "The Dreadnaught" mission) why couldn't Mara?
Well I hope she's still alive. I thought she was one of the more interesting characters in the game since vanilla destiny. The attitude was so aloof and the voice actor is amazing.
I'd like to save Mara. I know it's a bit cliché but if she's out there we should get her back, or take her light for ourselves. ;)

Watch the next expansion be about the Cabal taking her for their queen, and then she gets junked crazy on power. The returned queen sounds like a good title for this. Props to that user.

Edited by Psyko_Dad: 10/16/2015 2:17:35 PMShe'd better be. She's the only awesome character in the game and the cast is weak to begin with.

You've heard of The Taken King, now get ready for...
The Returned Queen
Often when we guess at others motives we only reveal our own.

She's dead man. Get over it. Out of all others the queen understood sacrifices must be made. But we still .got Petra

God save the Queen

If she was so cunning, why was she fool enough to trust the House of Wolves?
-
She's alive, Grimoire card says she and her brother are alive

Agreed, she's still alive. Either she is trapped somewhere and he rescue will be a future mission, or its all part of a master plan of hers and she's staying hidden for now for tactical reasons.

rip mara sov 2014 to 2015
-
I'd take more than her light, hehehe ;))

Agreed she's still alive. She continues her narration after her 'death' saying this is all part of the plan. I'm guessing the priests (?) on the bridge got her off with 'space magic'. Also, did anyone notice the last line? "It's all down to you now, our hidden friend." Can't be referring to us Guardians as we're not exactly 'hidden', slaughtering aliens in their thousands and blowing stuff up all over the solar system. Can only be.... the Stranger?
