IB and Trials "Recommended light levels"
Can someone explain to me how theres a "recommended light level" for these activities? Isn't what your light needs to be completely based off your opponents? Like in iron banner it says the recommended light is 230 but if you go up against a full team of all 300s and you're all 230s you're gonna get wrecked. Or do they just mean that they're going to scale it so everyone who's above 230 is nearly equal?

If I recall in pre-TTK Iron Banner, there was some difference in effectiveness between say, a 32 and a 34, but it was very slight -- so they may be doing just what you suggest, and having any differences above the 230 mark be pretty minor. I hope so, at least; I may be 290+ but I don't want that to mean that 300+ folks simply chew me to pieces. I get chewed up enough in IB as it is.
