I think bungie has created an interesting idea in clans and alliances but have failed to provide them with any function. There are no discernible advantages to joining a clan at the moment other than displaying a purely aesthetic appeal on your emblem. The only possible use I could see for being part of a clan would be for raiding and other activities but LFG and BungieForum override the need for clans. What do you guys think should be added to make forming/joining clans more appealing? Personally I think something that isn’t too OP would be to have a clan sharing/bank pool. Clan members should be able to deposit and pool together whatever they like. 1. Having the choice to pool together our resources (Motes, Strange Coin, Materials, Glimmer) means we can help lower level clan mates as well as give incentive to players who have nothing to gain from playing the game (don’t need anything). Instead of going to waste (ie: Shards, Energies) They could be deposited for future use with new clan members. 2. If this seems unfair then at least they should be able to pool their consumables (ie: Heavy Ammo Synthesis). This way clan mates who have many character or many strange coins can deposit their heavy synth and make it available to other clan members, increasing the chance of success during raids. 3. Even the idea of 50 Motes or something for a trade voucher between clanmates would make use of having to break down your fourth G-horn by allowing it to be traded to a fellow clan member who has yet to get one. 4. Even a 5-10% increase in health when doing team activities(excluding: Crucible) would be a bonus. This would be a great way to strengthen a clan as well as provide a relevance to being in one. Don't forget alliances, they have an even smaller relevance (no achievements, nothing) maybe trading materials with aforementioned goods.
