Most (not all but most) of the players that I have met under the age of 20 are impatient, arrogant, uncoordinated (as a group), loud, and offensive, and not willing to help others. I have 3 good friends that I play with that are all 15 but for the most part the younger kids just make me angry so I stay away from them. Maybe I am a bit old fashioned but I don't even attempt to play with someone under the age of 13. It just seems creepy that a grown man is playing a game with an 8 year old he just met. If my kids played I would want to know exactly who they are playing with.

It's when you have that voice and you feel it nessessary to talk all the time and give a play by play of what your doing. Then, when someone else has an issue it's usually the squeaker that chimes in and tries to help. I don't have a problem with anyone. It's just the fingers across the chalkboard tone that put people in a defensive mood. Your essay should be more about how sounds can effect moods.

2 RepliesMost just lack maturity ( not their fault); most adults after a hard days work get on destiny to relax and play the game, unfortunately to our ears the voice of a squeaker can interrupt our happy time which in the end will stress us out. We also have kids of our own so playing destiny can be a break from them for some ( still love the little shits) All in all its each to their own, I'll play with squeakers if their voice doesn't give me a headache That's my take on it anyway

10 RepliesPeople just think that "squeakers" are stupid shits that dont kniw how to play. Im 13 and ive gotten 4 unbrokens 1 seventh column and 2 we ran out of medals. Ive also completed 5 kings fall. Just ignore the haters.

I've always been open to anyone joining for strikes or PVP, but when it comes to Raids I prefer a more mature group. I find it (usually) means more clear and concise communication, sure we joke around in the down times... but not having someone incessantly talking during the mechanically intense portions is refreshing. That being said there are a few under 16 players who I met playing other activities who I will Raid with anytime, because they proved themselves an exception to my preconceived notions. Secondly Im 32 and I have a career that runs me 50-60 hours a week and a fiancé who I adore, many of the guardians I Raid with are married or have kids... As much as we would like to launch 4-6 hour gaming sessions (and still occasionally find time to do so), games and Raids occasionally get cut short because more important things in life take priority. Having a 13 year old rage at you for having to leave or go AFK for 10 is just annoying. Lastly and probably most importantly it's about being willing to listen, not because someone's older but because they may be more experienced or may have found a better way. Essentially Age and Maturity may not share a definition, but it has been shown that there is a strong correlation between the two.

It's generally that way they younger players tend to behave more than half the time 1. A lot tell the group they know what to do and then have an option that makes things way too complicated 2. Not willing to listen/accept new opinions 3. A lot of the the time it's the case where they were clearly carried through but think they were a big part of the raid

I really don't mind if you are good player, BUT the main reasons have heard and experienced is: You rage easier and blast our ear drums out. No need for that reaction over imaginary items. Have a harder time LISTENING to instructions. We are not telling what to do, it's the mechanics of the fight. (This may not be you) lastly: when a younger person gets on and tries to act all cool and talk about getting laid and weed.... Stop... Just stop... All you are doing is making a fool of yourself and proving you will probably become a statistic.... Once again, this may not be you, but those are the main reasons why people have issues.
